She still has the restraining order in affect? Just give her time, just give her time.;)

So they will probably portray John Adams as an irrational hothead (to put it mildly). I hope they give equal time to his contributions as a founding father.

P.S. John Quincy Adams was a bad ass!

Yes, but he could never be as cool as cousin Samuel.

McCullough is a master story-teller... The book was phenomenal... Very, very long... But well worth the investment!

Weeeell....he was an irrational hothead, and annoying to boot. It's well documented historically. He was also a single-minded, brilliant founding father.

John Quincy Adams a bad ass? Um, huh?

Yes, very excited.

HBO hasn't done jack for a while now, this had better be good.

The first two episodes were on last night and they were great! Amazing detail involved in the production values and the acting is excellent. Even Laura Linney. :)

I watched part one at work today. It held my attention enough so that I understood the plot which is better than I expected.

God help me I can't help but think of the 30 Rock 'skit' where Tracy plays Thomas Jefferson.

He was politically and diplomaticly. His term as President wasn't any huge deal but throughout his life he was very influential and, yes, a bad ass.

Ah, okay, politically and diplomatically. Gotcha. I was going to say, I recently watched a short history channel blurb on him, and Andrew Jackson he was not. He was not without some political accomplishments, however.

I gotta represent JQA. My family is from Adams Shore, a coastal community in Quincy, Mass.

I've watched every episode and have generally really enjoyed them!!! The little side-story between Jefferson and Adams is a bit trite - I really don't care for it, but overall I have really, really enjoyed the shows...
