He left a million dollars on the table. How many of you could do that? He doesn't owe us anything. Good luck and health to him and his family. And thanks for that TD last year.

Agreed, he owes the team nothing. If I recall correctly there were more than a few here last season calling for Carlson to be cut from the team and the guy was a bum who couldn't play anymore. Now that he decided to retire he suddenly owes the team? Come on man! It's a business and a team can cut any player at any point without owing them anything except any guarantees written into the contract. Why would a player have to give notice of his intent to retire? Maybe he walked out onto that field to see if he still had the desire and found he didn't so he retired. Would you rather have a player hang on who has no desire to be there except to collect a paycheck?

That is Christian's strength. Hopefully he can develop quickly enough to see some action.

People's expectation for the TE position are ridiculous. There's only a very small handful of TE's that have ever existed than can do what some people think is needed.
