Johnny Cash died due to complications of diabetes. Johnny's passing did not come as a surprise but John Ritter passing away did. Ritter died of a heart complication. He was one of the good guys in Hollywood and Three's Company was one of my favorites. A very sad day today.

Wasn't a huge John Ritter fan after Three's Company - but I loved that show while it was on and I liked him then.

"The man in black" is going to be sorely missed as well - RIP.

Both will be missed.

John Ritter was great in Three's Company. He even made some things, like Problem Child or Stay Tuned, watchable just by his being in it.

Johnny Cash, one of the all-time greats. I especially like "One Piece At A Time."

RIP.

I agree man. Does anyone have a list of all the celebs that have passed on this year? They say they go in three's, this years it seems like 5's.

John Ritter was outstanding in Slingblade. I also read he'll be in another Billy Bob Thornton movie being released in November. Very sad, and at such a young age.

As for Johnny Cash, my dad used to play his music all the time when we were growing up. Ring of Fire is one of my favorite songs.

There sure have been a lot of celebrity deaths this year.

very sad news - very sad. The Johnny Cash video which Mark Romanek directed this past year (and got ripped off for best music video) will resonnate even harder now - if that's possible - absolutely the best music video made in the last five years. Sad day.
