Fwiw local reporters still call Fitz a shot wr and filled down in it with Bradford. Bradford is a 3-5 step drop West coast qb. Fitz will have a huge year if he stays healthy

Thanks CardNuts. I'll remember you not having a point and arguing just to argue. I'll talk to my wife if I want to do that. Idiot.

Point?

Simply he was a late round pick very young when drafted later in the first round. Picking at 15 we could possible have a ready to start guard but unlikely. If we move back in the first and then select OL I don’t think they would be ready start not unlike Humphries.

Your assessment of average is my issue. I’ve been on this board longer than yourself. This means I know the flow of most of the knowledgeable posters on this board. As for yourself, not so much so get off your high horse.

For the moment i’ll refrain from calling you out as you’ve done with me.

Isn’t he more of a gadget WR like Percy Harvin?

Not at all. He can do everything. He can play on the outside, inside, kick and punt returns. He can even play running back if you want. Mentally he is there and will be prepared like a vet week 1. Can run the entire route tree, do it with impeccable precision, and will catch everything. Good hand and body catcher.

Football IQ is off the charts. Work ethic is off the charts. He's saavy. Will find openings in coverage. Think a bigger Steve Smith Sr (the Panthers/Ravens receiver). Extreme competitor.

Remember many of the good to best receivers are right about his size. Antonio Brown. OBJ. Tate. Sanders. Hilton. Jackson. He can be a smaller receiver who is a #1.

Great hands, strike that, amazing hands and field awareness. He's team first. He won't complain and will do everything to help the team. Opposite of a diva. Fitz like mentality. Consummate pro. Complete receiver. Polished. Every adjective like that which can be used, he is.

Look at this gauntlet run. The strong hands and the ease in which he catches them. How he stays close to the yardline. Not wasting steps, fluid. Finishes and turns up field in bounds.

Clean, balanced, and strong runner. He's like a RB, and has been a RB.

Thing of beauty. This is the type of stuff that translates to the NFL

He ran a 4.47 and he's not one of these guys who can run 4.47 and then slows down. He'll be right around there until he hits the endzone. His speed is game speed.

Bench pressed 20 times. Will go over the middle fearlessly. Will fight for extra yards.

He would fit PERFECTLY with a guy like Sam Bradford who can get the ball out quick and accurately to him. Get the ball in his hands and watch him go.

The only knocks on him are that he's 5'10" and change and thus he doesn't have the catch radius of a guy 6'2"-6'5". He doesn't have the tippy top end speed 4.2-4.3 speed. Some guys will have some more initial burst. Any small technical things he can clean up. He's strong, so he can become more consistent off the press, but he's pretty good now. At times he can rely on the body catch a little too much, but he has great hands. He has the work ethic to clean these minor things up (and when you consider his strength and hands are there it's literally small tweaks).

But remember, a guys head and technique gets him open as much as his speed. He'll get open, and his athletic numbers weren't shabby either.

This guy pops out so much, and has everything you want in a football player, he's worthy of standing on the table for. What else does a GM want? Taller? Faster? Sure, but most of those guys don't do all the rest like he does.

Never a speed merchant, Fitz hasn't had #1 WR speed in quite a while. He can't be the #1/outside guy on a consistent basis.

Not expecting him to be the #1WR/outside guy based on speed. Wondering if he could be WR on the outside.

Isolate Fitz on a shorter young CB and he will school the younger player on positioning, timing a jump, how to use one's hands to snag the ball, agility to make a tough catch, etc. He'll even school a taller older CB. LOL.

Anxious to see how Fitz gets used by the new HC/OC. If the concern is speed off the snap, not sure if Fitz fits the role of a slot guy. Under BA, he was playing the 'Hines Ward' role that included plenty of blocking and decoy routes. That's different than the traditional slot.

SW must have told him something he enjoyed hearing since Fitz came back for another year.

Ryan Grants ankle is ok. Did the Ravens have buyers remorse?

Agree. I expect Fitz and Bradford to develop the kind of chemistry that we saw between Fitz and Warner. Both of these vets will read the D and Fitz will turn in the right direction and Bradford will put the ball where only Fitz can get it.

Bradford still has the arm to drive the ball anywhere on the field---played the West Coast QB behind a bad OL in Minn. and without a superior RB in 2016. Got a RB for 2017 and ripped NO in his game---before going out with the knee.

An efficient running game is so important for every qb not called russel wilson
Thats why I would love to draft nick chubb
Having him with dj should be sensational

It's okay bro, you got roasted. Take the L and regroup.

Judging by the synopsis of your point, you totally missed mine.

We saw how BA abused AE by slamming him into the line---a misuse of his talents. Let's hope SW doesn't do the same with DJ. While DJ can handle more runs between the tackles, he is going to get hammered and that wrist is going to have a bulls-eye on it all season.

We need a rotational RB to keep DJ upright for the entire season. In a lower round, Nick Chubb would be a good add (got to represent Chubbtown). If not, maybe bring AP back with the agreement he is the backup and relief RB.

Bring this guy home and sign somebody at Safety and you had a good off-season so far SK ....
Pugh
Matthews
N Bowman
CB
Depth at OT

Is a nice off-season. However, with our QB situation, it may not matter.

It like getting new tires, improved stereo system, and new spark plugs, but you still don't have a battery.

Like Humphries? Hmmm

Great example of an average offensive lineman. We already had Veldheer at the LT position.

More like a baby amongst hungry family men. I’ll remember the comment average.
