Simmons, Brown, Wirfs or Wills it has to be then.Sounds like we’re eyeing RT, edge & LB in no order in the draft
I would hope its 6-8 million per year. If Brockers got 10, Phillips probably will get slightly lower.
Doubt they draft Derrick Brown now after signing Phillips, plus we still have Corey Peters. Peters could slide over to DE though. I've wanted Brown all along but Simmons sounds good also. Simmons & Brown will be gone before #8 imo.I think this is a great signing. We need young talent on the D-Line, and that what phillips is. 27 years old....10 sacks last year at 341 pounds.
He can push the pocket. You add someone like Derrick Brown in the draft and our D-Line is WORLDS better than last year.

Brockers got 10 so you may be right? Having ED Oliver in waiting is why they didn't offer Phillips is the only reason I can think of.I have a bad feeling this might go a lot higher, he played really well last year and the Bills have a huge amount of cap space.
Strange they wouldn't be willing to pay him $6-8 million
I hope not. Corey Peters can still push his blocker back into the QB. Don't know how much longer he will play though. Love the dude, he's from right here in Louisville. Went to Louisville Central H.S & played at Kentucky. Is this the end for Corey Peters? Cardinals could save ~4m by cutting him (last year of deal).

Sounds good. I'm also high on Zach Allen. Our D-Line is SOOOOO thin with talent though. Peters is what 32-33...and in the last year of his deal.
I really like Zach Allen, but he was hurt all last year.
Now we have Phillips, who adds a 27 year old stud.
We need at LEAST 1 other solid D-Lineman before we start to fill in rotational guys. Someone like Snacks Harrison, or Mike Daniels could be a short term solution...but I would prefer to bring in a Derek Brown or Javon Kinlaw.
My choices at #8 in order:
Simmons
Okudah
Brown
Wirfs
Kinlaw
Bechton
Sounds good. I'm also high on Zach Allen.
I really hope we resign Kerr for depth?
He looked very solid against the run in our last 4-5 games.
