Pretty good article from today's Tribune on the Coyotes lack of scoring so far. I think the one thing the article overlooks is just how many injuries the Coyotes have had so far. They played without their best goal scorer in Nagy the first two nights, and without their #1 Center in Nedved their last two, not to mention their best defenseman, Morris, has been out of the lineup as well. Getting all three back, which should happen in the next game or two, as well as getting Sanderson, should really help increase the offensive input.

The win last night should do the Coyotes alot of good. Now they can relax since they don't have "Gretzky's First Win" looming over them.

Couln't have said it better..

The writer of the article was right on the target with his assessment of the lack of scoring on this club. For 2 years they had this problem and haven't did anythig noteworthy to improve their goal production. This team will struggle night in and night out to score 3 goals a game.

And I just don't think the acquistion of a 33-year forward whose best scoring years are behind him will fix the problem but it does show that they recognize a major weakness. Too bad they did nothing to help the situation the whole year they sat on their hands and did nothing.
