One thing to keep in mind is that Joseph never relied on high dollar ILBs to run his scheme in Denver. It won't shock me if it is Reddick and Zeke Turner at ILB moving forward and maybe add a late FA signing that doesn't count towards comp picks.
Obviously no one knows what's going to happen, however I believe we intend to use our cap space. It just seems that Keim is backed into a corner to turn it around quickly, at least to respectability. If that's the case, we aren't going to get compensatory picks because we're going to be spended like a drunken madman, aka a Steve Keim.
It seems to me you either make a splash and forgo the compensatory picks or you don't and sign late fa's to try to get compensatory. There can be a slight middle ground, I just don't think Keim can be playing the compensatory game this year.
I obviously can be wrong, I just think Keim is going to be more active in fa as we've ever seen.
OL, WR, LB are all big needs.
If we look at the recent past, Keim has been snapping up guys before free agency with D.J., Alford, Clay, Reed. I just think it's the start.
I don't expect a bunch of top-ish dollar guys, but I do expect a couple of splashes and then a slew of low/med dollar guys.
I do think guys like Mosely, Suggs, Marshall, and Alexander are all guys we could be looking at. Marshall via Joseph, Suggs via AZ background/draft history (did Keim want him?), Mosely via need, and Alexander via connection with Licht. Watch we don't even attempt to get any of them.
I think it's more of Keim is going to pay people because Keim needs to add talent, rather than Joseph wanting Keim to spend, it's just that Joseph and Marshall have a history so he may decide to go there.
