Frank Kaminsky is my Hero.
I thought Jackson would be the second best player in the draft behind Ball. Incredibly embarrassing to admit.
We missed out on so many opportunities in that draft. A lot of productive players picked after JJ.

Athletically, and motor wise, he is just as predicted. He was always rated as having to overcome a poor jumper, and his offense was supposed to be way behind his defense. With all the twenty point games he's had, arguably he's ahead of pace offensively, even if he's not consistent.
Fultz and Ball, #1 and 2 respectively, have also sucked.
Tatum had a good cast and coach around him, he's been steady.
Fox finally came around this past year.
Top 10, DS junior, has been kind of shaky.
Top 15, Donovan Mitchell was good find.
Top 30, Kuzma was a good find as well.
Fultz, Ball and Denis Smith JR are all part of losing franchises as well and have only some flashes here and there.
Remember our franchise hasn't been in the greatest shape the last 5 years. I still see some upside, aside from off court antics, in JJ.

All young players are unknowledgeable in the responsibilities of being in the NBA. It is up to management to train them wisely.
The Suns constant turnover of General Managers and Head Coaches, as well as unbalanced rosters in terms of veterans, hasn't
helped in the fine points of player development. Another problem that starts at the top of this lack of foresight on the Suns.

I appreciate your team spirit, but generalizations don't solve team problems. Each problem needs to be dealt with and Jackson has been an ongoing problem.
What was he arrested for? I know he's charged with resisting and escaping but that doesn't answer the question of why he was put in handcuffs. It's been said he tried to sneak into a VIP area, I'm not sure how much I believe that but if that truly was what happened, that isn't an event that he should be handcuffed for. I'm not saying he was right to flee, he wasn't, but someone is only charged with "crimes" related to resisting arrest it calls into question what the arrestable offense was and there doesn't seem to be one here. He wasn't charged with trespassing, and that's important here based on the claims he was trying to trespass.
I'll wait until more comes out but I suspect if Bridges was charged with this he wouldn't be condemned like Jackson has so far. I use Bridges as an example because he's closer in age to JJ and isn't a potential star like Booker or Ayton. I'd expect those 2 to be granted more leeway.

As others have posted, would Bridges have tried to escape (while handcuffed), which aggravated the situation? I don't think so.
Judgement and common sense seems to be the difference Jackson and other young players.
Especially since Jackson was being given the honor of representing the Suns at the Draft selections party. He let down the team!
Not just turnover, but weak, timid head coaches who really were not leaders. Monty is the first head coach we have had since Gentry who is even remotely capable of instilling some sense of responsibility and accountability in his players.
The question is whether it is too late for Josh Jackson...
He was starting to come around under Triano, who isn't a strong leader himself, but who at least wasn't the disaster Hornacek, Watson and especially Igor were in that department. Under Igor, Josh Jackson fell apart completely, on and off the court. Then again, just about every player on the roster did...
Again, I'll wait until more information is released because it is just insane to try to flee while handcuffed. The only side of the story that has come out so far is that of law enforcement, which apparently has history of racist actions. There were other Suns players present and they haven't said anything yet. Once more information is released, I'll form an opinion on what went down but right now I think people are jumping the gun with their takes based on very limited information.

The lesson to be learned is to never flee in handcuffs.

The F'ing insane part was the hiring of 2 head coaches who didn't deserve to be hired in the first place, which is why this will be his 4th head coach in 2 years.

That doesn't really say anything new. It just says what the other reports say and credits them as the source. I can see why you'd post it but I'm not sure there is anything to learn from it based on all reports containing the same information.

I have no idea. I have sympathy for both sides equally.
That being said, when ghetto upbringing becomes instant millionaire, that requires a
hell of an adjustment.
That is where professional sports owners should spend some of their billions of
dollars providing adjustment counseling. Especially in the case of Josh who has
demonstrated that, no matter his background, he is not too bright.
The best examples of that category are Pete Rose, Mark Grace and Lenny Dykstra.

There's an old saying, "you can't fix stupid" Josh Jackson is the prime example of this and has been since he got here.
He's a moron on and off the court. No amount of coaching can fix him
He was our rep last year when we got the #1 pick and we didn't send him back this year. That pretty much tells you how the team feels about him

Escape can mean a ton of things.
Seems pretty unbelievable to me that he was truly trying to escape while handcuffed.
He was there with Booker, Oubre, Ayton, Russell etc who probably were in the VIP section. Maybe he just stepped away to inform them and that is enough for a police offer to slam him with "escape attempt".
Not really. Why wouldn’t you send Ayton last years number 1 pick.
