Denny wanted a gunslinger at QB and thought he had it in Josh last year and it didn't happen, well so far Josh is the QB now he expected. Getting our two main WRs tds and around 100 yds recieving a game per player. Sure Warner has less ints but that usually happens when you don't take chances in pursuit of the big play. If Josh keeps playing at this level, I want him as the starting QB this season and next.

Are you crazy??? Wouldn't you much rather blame the team's woes on the QB only to see him go some where else and kick butt? I mean come on you'd be going against the grain here...

I really think the play of Josh improving is having Kurt Warner on the sidelines giving him pointers.... Kurt, a former Super Bowl MVP, going over reads with him on the sidelines is great for Josh's learning....

I think a QB must have at least a glimmer of talent on a team with no oline(which our pass blocking is better) and no run game.

Last year Josh had no glimmer or even a spark of talent.

In 2 games this year he has.

I wouldnt be super upset if he got the rest of the season.

I would however be very upset if he does well all season then we spend a ton on a good line and get the run game going and he threw like he did last year, or had last years vision. That could set this franchise back a decade. If not more.

I don't know how old you are but you don't know jack about QB's in the NFL. And thst goes for mostly every one on this forum. We have been the poorest judge of talent at that position I have ever noticed. Josh has all the intanginables tht is required to be a good NFL QB in this era. Just because he palys here for our Cardinals you assume that he is a bad QB. well he isn't. We have a young team tht has fallen into a loosing attitude fostered by people in our newsmedia, and us who are never satisfied.

We hated Jake. now we hate Josh, and Kurt. If we had Big Ben we would even haste him by now. It is a team sport guy's, not just a one person position.

You want to hate someone hate the guy's like the Wendle Byrants of the NFl who took their money and ran. Big who plays like a ***** until he gets mad at someone, then he starts to play better.

I admire the Wakefields, and Berry's of the NFL who come and play every down every game and do not complain. Sorry but I have had it with the constant B & M on this forum about our QB's ad Coaches. It is the team as a whole that needs to get their **** together.

So stop bad mothng the Cardinals an enjoy the fruits of having an NFL team in our area to root for.

Your out of your mind...he had a spark of talent last year in several of our games. If you had to play the DG polka around two worthless backups and not knowing if you were in or out each week any Qb would have his ups and downs. Last years Rams game and both 49er games showed Josh had talent. You like to make things up. And yes it would bother you very much if Josh got the rest of the season....because you would lose yet another bet :D

Please Josh got more than his share of a shot. You guys like to pretend he is a rookie or just has a handful of starts. He had plenty of time to prove himslef last year before the polka dance. Having 3 of your greatest games againt the 9ers to me is the same if he had his greatest games against Tempe high school.

Now if he gets the start its against the titans. Lets see him light up the eagles or the colts.

When Josh played well against the 9er's you said it was 'just the 9er's, lets see him against the Panthers'.

Then Josh plays well against Panthers. And now its 'lets see him play the Colts or Eagles'.

Let me guess, if he performs well against those teams, it will be 'it was only the Eagles, let's see him up against the 2000 Ravens or 85 Bears'.

Give it up man.

Actually his best game was against the Rams after the houdini act DG pulled on him. Look, I know it is hard for you to admit because you were hoping to buy insurance from the guy next year but he is a Pro caliber QB that will be playing somewhere next year with most likely a starting job. We need to sign him and let him lead this squad the next couple of years rather than starting over with some newbie in DG offense. Fix the line (as we have been saying for the last couple of years) and Josh will be very good in this offense. He already is with no running game and no oline. He has won games and none of the other Qb on our team have done that. The only pretender in this conversation is you if you still feel Josh is not an NFL Qb as you have stated ad nauseum for 2 seasons.

Josh has always had talent, NFL fans/teams are way too impatient as it pertains to young QB's.

Josh will continue to get better and If we do not resign him, he will probably be starting for Greenbay or Baltimore next year and there will be many posters on here complaining about his production with another team--like almost every runningback that has ever played here.

I was

thinking the Pack. He just fits with them behind Favre.
That said, if he continues to throw for 250-400 yds. per game and a couple of TD's AND we can get a bit of a running game going, so teams can't key on the pass, they'll sign him to a two year deal withg an option year.

If he puts up those numbers I don't see him leaving, at least not without the Cards trying to keep him. If he doesn't the Packers would probably go with Rodgers so I think Josh would end up in Baltimore, NY Jets, Chicago, Cleveland or Miami. When you think about it, there are quite a few teams that need quarterbacks. That's probably the weakest position in the league right now.

your right

but teams that have a sytem that kind of fits a run and gun type QB?
That's what I mean about the Pack. Theyr'e used to that type of QB and have plays specifically for those skills.
We obviuosly, after starting Warner, donot have many roll out plays, boot leg plays, etc. that play to those strengths.
A team probably isn't going to be ready to change it's whole offensive approach for a QB.

I think McCown will throw for 400 yards this week against the Titans and I know Arrington is going to have a good game. I've got Shipp as one of my fantasy RB's. :D

If Pigs had wings they could fly. The "ifs" will be answered this year and not today or next week.

Most QBs are never done proving themselves. Most, don't get handed the starting job, most split time, and most see the bench. Josh's situation is not that unusual: when sportswriters talk about McCown they are usually just using him to make a comment about Green. Nonetheless, today is an ideal matchup for him to really make a claim for the rest of this year, at least.

So John

his throwing for 3-400 yds 2 weeks in a row means pigs could have wings?
Seems to me we're beyond the if of McCown and on to the if of the running game.

I hope he learns how to be a leader and what it means to be an NFL QB.

That's the whole ballgame on the kid.

We'll just have to see on that one.
