"He has released quarterbacks in the past, rather than meet their contract demands, and always found a replacement and a way to win. He has benched starters for incompetence, gone to the No. 2 guy, and continually gone to the playoffs"

How refreshing!

THanks for the link K-9:thumbup: I think this is all that most of us pro McCown supporters have been saying. If Mac was at the helm we are in trouble. But with Green coaching and with the potential Josh has we are going to see good results. Having said that, Draft Eli or Fitz if there at #3. If not trade down and get a backup vet QB and more picks. And look at trading next yrs #1 for Henson.

I agree completly. My big issue with all of this is why now and why let Blake go if you intend to just go and get another vet backup.

But just like the article confirmed, and other have said here, Blake would not have handled that very well. I think the term they used was devisive.

I had not heard, outside of just rumours on this board, that Blake was really a 'LEON' type guy.

Apparently I am the last to know!

Now the question still ivolves to who this team can get as a vet backup. I still am holding out hope that McCown is the start, a vet is brought in, Parsons is let go, and we draft Eli or Roth

lvcardfreak: just so you know....I heard on a sports talk show in PHoenix that a non-arizona based writer - during the super bowl week - asked the actor who plays leon (who was in full leon mode - he was apparantly doing the interview circuit) what he thought of jeff blake being called leon by his teammates..I think there was also a blurb on it in the republic....which is I think where the story originated.. FYI..so the media seems to be saying they are calling blake leon - and I never heard a teammate of blake come out and say anything like: that is not true..we would never call him "leon". I would think there would have been a denial by some player or coach if it were not actually true...FYI

It was from a PFW "Whispers Around the NFL" listing from the middle of the season. No one made it up here.

Someone run with it...:p

See if someone cool can tell me where this is from...

-"She called you callow."

-"You say that like it's a bad thing."

-"It means frightened and weak-willed."

-"Damn. I thought that was the only complimentary part of the letter."

I don't know, but I think it was Owen Wilson that said the line...

Well, it seems that, once again, I'm not nearly as cool as I thought I was...:(

Sounds like a rerun of MASH. Something Hawkeye might say to Honeycutt or vice versa.........or maybe Roadtrip.

It sure does sound like an Owen Wilson line. If he didn't say it, he should.

Maybe "Bottle Rocket?"

Thanks!

But I do remember someone on this board saying they talked to the asistant trainer or someones cousin's brother or whatever, and that person mentioned that they call Blake LEON in the locker room.

Thats why I thought it was just rumors. Apparently it is true (to a degree)

hehehe, in the pic on the pasquerelli page, McCown is running for his life. He just turned around and is scrambling left. Looks like Clement was playing Matador again :)

Owen Wilson didn't say it. I'm not giving any hints after that.

Oh, wait..

...Was it Jack Black? In... Orange County?

God, I don't know if this is from a movie that I've seen or just one I saw a preview for!
