Red Dawn
Go Big Red!
I wanted Josh to succeed with the Cards, he sure played hard and left everything on the field. I'm glad he is having success at this point in his career.
Arguing about our QBs back then was like arguing which three-legged mule has the best chance at winning the Kentucky Derby.
Blake, King, McCown, someone I'm not remembering, they all SUCKED!!!

Navarre.
Josh is the second best QB of the last 10 years hah
Forgot about that part. That's a good description of how he used to look.No deer in the headlights look. That's a plus.
I liked McCown when he was in Arizona, but Denny didn't care for him. He's taken a long road to get where he's at today. Played for a few NFL teams and then was playing in the UFL. Good for him.
I'll never forget that pass to Nate Poole against the Vikings.
I always liked Josh and felt he was the best QB we had back then. Greene screwed with the kid. I would still take him as my qb in a time of need. Would just as soon have had him than anyone else we have had since Warner. I always thought that no moment ever felt too big for him. He is a perfect example of why rookies would have always been better off being drafted by another team rather than the Cards. They always seemed to destroy or ****** a young players growth.
+1
Very true.
Yet, in Josh McCown's defense, his problem was always reading the defense. He always had a good arm, and good accuracy for the most part. Just took him FOR-EVER to read a defense and get the ball out.
His experience in the league helped him with his biggest problem. Not surprised when he has success from time to time.
I hear he's a great basketball player too.
i agree with others, his issue was always making reads at real NFL speed, by the time he saw who was open, the guy was no longer open, or he was getting hit by the pass rush for holding the ball too long.
If that part of his game has improved he'll be better, he always had a strong arm.
Denny didn't care for him? I remember Denny calling McCown the next Favre.. Even starting over Warner.. He got rid of him after he failed to produce.. McCown sucked outright.. So glad when we got rid of him..

Josh was that bird- bled cardinal red and posts great numbers on a bad team- Kurt sucked bad on that team! We would have done worse than to keep josh Tom then to now
No idea what you said..
lol thats the only time I see it too. I relish in it though as I get very small doses compared to everyone else.I wish people wouldn't quote anything he says, then I have to read it...sort of like looking at a car accident despite your best effort not to....
Don't know if anyone has watched this guys last 4 games. but man I gotta say this guy has really turned himself into a quality NFL QB. He is really quite impressive and his decision making is just stellar!
I'll never forget the absolutely epic threads arguing for and against McCown (and what's funny is that they came closely on the heels of all the even more epic Plummer threads).
I remember once Rats (who was fervently anti-Josh) quoted me (strongly pro Josh until the end) with the following in his sig:
"the book is not closed on Josh Mcown" I wrote that after one of Josh's many mediocre games.
Hey Rats! Who has the last laugh now brother?!....
Sorry Bro, I was heavily Pro Josh...not anti Josh. I liked both Josh and Warner. I have MCCOWN 's jersey! Not sure ...I may have been down on him a few bad games and posted. I had epic arguments with several here in Favor of Josh. Sorry Bro..getting old....dont remember hating on Josh.
