Howland said at today's press conference Shipp likely won't play until Satanford next week. THey had hoped to have him play about 10 minutes tonight against Wagner, he's practicing but not yet in game shape apparently.
Should be interesting, Shipp packed on 15 pounds of muscle this offseason and tore up the Say No Summer League. NBA players who played with Josh in on campus pickup games this summer reportedly told Howland that Shipp was the best player he had. Many who saw the summer league games said Shipp figured to lead UCLA in scoring. But he had surgery on his hip so nobody is really sure what kind of shape he'll be in or how explosive he'll be right away.
Would be just what the doctor ordered for UCLA, a 3rd scorer to go with Afflalo and Farmar.
