Jude LaCava

I just want to give props to this guy. I've been watching him for a few years now. He is one of the few sports guys in this town who doesn't pile on the Cards. Yes, he will be critical when it's justified but, he also brings up the good. If anyone hasn't seen him on Channel 10 (Fox) check him out. He analyzed the game with Ron Wolfley last night. Good piece. They discussed the good that the Cards showed and then the bad. When they were done, Jude finished by saying, "The Cards will get much better."

Jude is one of the best. I loved his sports talk show on KTAR before he moved to TV.

.. Jude has always been one of my favorites. He makes it sound like he wants to take pride in the CARDS representing AZ.

That's all we're asking from media. Tough love from our home town media boys/and girls. LOL Give us the facts, sprinkle in a little opinion, and throw in a dash of homerism. They ARE the home town team, like it or not. Negativity, even when it's deserved by the Cardinals, is derisive locally, drives away the casual fan, and just fosters ill will. There is enough negativity by the guys on the national stage: ESPN, Sports Illustrated, etc. etc. We can't blame those guys because they follow us from afar. But the local guys shouldn't be trying to just totally kill us in the media.

hate jude lacava, if you think that guy was always fair to the cardinals you are much of a bandwagon on him as you probably are with the cardinals, even when they would win he would always show more tape of the other team and talk about how they messed up and how the cardinals got lucky, every damn time, I hate that guy, I hope I never see him in public


Its ok to criticize your team but when they win I expect more, sound like your atleast happy that they won and stop bashing them at every freaking turn,
I hope he reads this an knows not everyone is drinking the antifreeze that seems to be going around. Even in I believe the panthers game when the cardinals were killing that team he came out during half time talking about, expect the cardinals to fall in the second half. No faith, no faith at all, he is no true fan of that team and either are a good 70 percent that say they are cardinals fans.

I may not have noticed it was from 4 years ago, I have been watching jude since I got here and he was bashing them after every game, always looking at the negative and never the positive and now that they are at the superbowl he doesn't deserve to be talking about them like their his team.

anyway I am happy to see all the cardinal fans in the stadium but I just wonder where they were during their stay at ASU, everytime I went to a game there it felt like I was in a different state. Being a fan is like marriage, you should be there for the GOOD as well as the BAD, for better or for worse, or something like that, never been married haha.

This board has the most loyal, farthest reaching back fanbase you'll find.

I also like Jude but the best KTAR show was when Lee Hacksaw Hamiliton was here. He was very knowledgeable and also had a ton of great guest. I think he went to San Diego because we did not have a football team.

You were dealing with a large portion of sports casters who only gave credit to the D-Backs and Suns because of Colangelo. Some gave props to the Coyote's when Roenick and Tkatuck and Khabibulin were on that team, but the Cardinals over all were treated like the slow, stepchld of valley sports.

Most of these sportcasters are transplants from the East and Midwest (Chicago,NY,Clevland) so what do you expect? They grew up fans of those teams.

Yeah, and I agree, Jude has been a solid sportscaster. Mainly referring to alot of the others here in the valley who've ONLY NOW given this team some credit. Heck I've been harsh with them too, but still a big fan. You cand tell alot of them have other allegences and are usually glad to bring you their slanted opinions.

haha i actually searched his name after seeing him on tv yesterday and found that thread so i signed up and gave my opinion, no I am not his wife haha. I just watched him enough to know he was one sided and not on the cardinals side either and its just odd that you guys think he is fair. I can remember back in the larry center days and watching jude report that the cardinals won and seeing more highlights of the losing team than of our cardinals. Just saying this in general and I dont even know who that other guy is. I tried to like jude its just clear in my mind that he isnt a fan. So keep on drinking the fuel thats in your water.
