First off I don't buy week to week.

Second if true it's a legit Christmas miracle.

Third the absolute smartest thing he did was hop to the sidelines and not try to bear weight right after the injury and risk the full tear.

Fourth this makes a first round bye very, very important.

Fifth, his acl sprain must be incredibly minor.

As has been said, we NEED the 9ers and Bills to pull off Christmas miracles this Sunday!!!!!

And a Festivus Miracle if true.

Would be awesome

Excellent news. We can "limp" (pun intended) out of the regular season with whatever combination of Lindley and the Power of Jesus Christ can get us through two more tough games, and then hopefully Stanton can go in the playoffs.

Agree that One Legged Stanton > Lindley

I had a grade 2 MCL sprain a few years back and it took two weeks to be able to run and cut on it, but it did not feel 100% for about a month. I am sure a brace would help that.

it is completely different for everyone. Every person heals at their own pace, cant rush it.

for sure. I would imagine an athlete like stanton with the rehab staff he has will heal much better and faster than banky.

Yup and I would imagine a team that has a ton of doctors and trainers working for them can accelerate the healing process vs. a, at the time, 32 year old average male. As my doctor said at the time, if it doesn't hurt to do it, then do it.

Yup....although I see an underhanded slap in the face there. :D

You are kidding, right. Playing him again this season would be near suicide. We can't win with a one legged QB. My opinion is that we must put everything into whoever coach thinks is better between the 2 qbs we still have standing. If I am right, they need to come up with some new plays for both qbs to run. I can't remember how fast Logan Thomas is at this moment. Is he mobile, or more of a Big Ben type?

Hard to believe that either would be leading any team into the playoffs. Must be like a dream to them. Who would have thunk it?

If we somehow went all the way with this team, it sure would make for a great NFL moment and movie of the week. Has a team ever won it all on Defense alone? Before yesterday, our D had to hold opponents to under 20 for us to have a chance. Now that figure has dropped to under 10. I could see it against our NFC opponents, but hard to imagine vs the AFC champs. Who knows, maybe someone will know Manning and Brady out of the playoffs.

Never thought there would be a day we'd be in such relief and happy over Drew F'in Stanton being back lol.

Poor Lindley. Terrible confidence booster. He's gonna get destroyed by Seattle. Probably ruin his career.

I'm not really sure that it is possible to ruin a ruined career.

I am going to give Ryan a chance before I pass judgement on him. In his rookie year he was thrown to the wolves with Whiz and wasn't even close to being ready. I think he has a better chance to better himself with the staff the cards have now, now that they know he will be the starter for atleast the next few games. Sucks his first starting game will be against the Hags, but if the oline can protect him, the D plays just as good as Thursday, and he doesn't turn the ball over, he will have a good chance of winning. They just need to run like the have been the last few games.

Like I said, with this new staff, I won't pass judgement on Ryan till I see him play after working with the first squad for a week and a half.

Didn't Rivers win some playoff games a few years back playing with torn ACL? Stanton will be playing come playoff time.
