Interesting...

Jurecki "hints" that Green might have a trick up his sleeve, and everyone assumes that (among all the things that could happen and all the options open to him) it has to be that he plans to trade for Randy Moss.

Based on the body language of both Denny and the Vike management, I don't think so.

It might be more productive (and more fun) to speculate on what other "tricks" Denny might be considering.

(Note - Just now, I tried to visualize a few examples, but hated every option I could come up with).

I will assume a few for ya. Remember these are all assumption and by no means have any sort of validity to them that I know of.

1. Well we are bringing in LB's, could Fisher or maybe even McKinnon be on there way out via a trade.

2. We now the oline coach doesnt like Clement could there be a deal in the works to one of the RT strapped teams.

3. Dont know if there has been any mention of this yet, but could Green be looking at Dillon.

4. Could he be trying to work a deal for a RFA or franchise guy(McAllister)

5. Deal with the Browns - switch 1st's an we get Northcutt and something else.

6. Graves did say something about us going after some guys that he wouldnt mention. So the question is who? (Darrell Jackson, Sapp, ect.)

7. Or a combo of 1,2,3 or a combo of 1,2,4 or some other sort of combo.

Boldin for Moss? Hell no!!! Yeah he's a great talent but I don't want to prostitute the team for a take off play and I won't block on running play!!! I'll be pissed if that happens!!!

I still like the Adewale Ogunleye idea. We need a pass rush in the worst way!!!!

1) Can't see a team looking at Fisher and McKinnon. Fisher is still an unproven commodity and McKinnon.......he has ZERO trade value at this point in his career.

2) Clement wouldn't be perceived as trade bait.....while he may prove us wrong this year, he is likely viewed as a marginal RT due to his past injury situation and the fact that he has "slow feet"

3)Working on acquiring Dillon does not constitute "something up my sleeve" IMHO......Dillon will be picked up for a song( if anything) as the months move forward.

4)Now trying to find a way to secure McAlister would consitute "something up my sleeeve" type of action

5) While a trade down with the Browns might be a possibility.....it would not happen before draft day

6) Sapp is not in any rush to leave TB and indeed will IMHO likely figure out a way to restructure and finish out his career as a Bucaneer.

7) Can't say this isn't gunna happen.

My point is that if Green has something up his sleeve....it will be bigger than smaller.

Denny will not trade for Moss as he knows it would cost the Cardinals their future. Denny took over the Vikings shortly after the worst trade in the NFL historywas made by the Vikes to the Cowboys for Hershal Walker. Denny inherited a team with no high draft choices; he still got them to the playoffs. However, he really believes in building through the draft. Moss is not going anywhere, the Vikes are on the verge of a playoff run and Moss is their top playmaker. Again Denny won't give away the Cards future for one player.

Please never trade Bolden. Right now he is our true cover boy. You look at him and you see possabilitys . I would not trade him for any other player. I would love to see some of our other people moved to better our team. Certainly Clement would be high on my list although a change of scenery might help him to be special hopefully a Gm can see that don't forget SHIPP. I like hima lot but.......For the right deal and the right player ...??? Notice Green never talks about Marcel...Does this mean anything to anyone??? Who out there that has someone we want that could use a RB and Oline guy?

Here's an option (just thought of it on another thread):

1. Cards draft Taylor at #3.

2. Immediately turn around and trade Adrian Wilson for a #1, which they use either for the top rated remaining receiver or corner.

3. They draft either a corner or receiver with #33 depending on which way they went in late #1.

4. With #66 they grab Sopoaga.

They wind up Day #1 with (a) Taylor, (b) a good corner, (b) a good (Clayton, Evans, Wood caliber) wideout, (c) a good (Colclaugh or better) corner and (d) a stud nose tackle.

Randy Moss would require 3 number one draft picks minimum to be traded.

Randy Moss would guarantee the Cards the playoffs next year and for several years after that. He would make Shipp into a ProBowl RB or get E Smith Comeback Player of the Year.

I think the trick up his sleeve was Robert Smith. Call me crazy.

After all of this Ricky Williams thing they had Robert Smith here on the radio in NYC. They talked about how, after RS retired, he was thinking about coming back a couple of times. Once was after Korey Stringer died as a tribute to him and the others was when Green was getting some feelers and considering getting back into coaching. Smith said "and then he went to Arizona and that was that". I am reading that Smith did not want to follow Green to AZ - for whatever reason (insert your own) - but he might have come back if Green went somewhere else.

From what I heard many moons ago, Green did inquire about Moss, but the discussions never got as far as proposing players. It became a dead issue when he took Fitz.

Green has nothing left up his sleeve and if he doesn't catch a break soon, he may be lucky to have a shirt on his back, let alone a sleeve.

Vikesfan, I know you like Moss, but, you need to read and stick around a bit more to understand why we would never advocate a trade for Boldin.

There are FEW possesion receivers worth their salt. Dude is a Salt Lick.

Moss is a phenom and would absolutely make this team better but there's no way you trade a kid like Boldin for a guy who's already in the NFL drug program. There's just too much risk, Moss is better than Quan but look what Miami is dealing with now banking on a guy like Williams. If Moss screws up again and gets suspended this trade would be horrible.

I would absolutely throw Bryant Johnson into a deal for Moss because with Moss, Fitz and Quan, Johnson is irrelevant, but there's just no way in the world I'd trade Quan. IT makes no sense unless the Cards see a contract impasse coming up with Quan the way Portis ended up in Denver and I just don't think Quan would do that.

Moss also has a lingering foot injury that will either need to be cut on or nag him for the rest of his career.

Anquan for Randy would not be a good idea. Regardless, the point is moot. Moss is going nowhere.
