So much has been made of Shipps lack of trips into the endzone last year, does anyone know how many legitimate opportunities he had to score. I know you can run it in from anywhere on the field, but im thinking attempts from the 5 yard line on in would be considered fair attempts. Is it possible that because we were trailing in almost every game, that we passed the ball when we got into the red zone? Im not saying that he shouldn't have scored a rushing TD, but if you arn't handed the ball, its kinda hard to score.

this is an interesting thought. as much of a physical back as he is, i can't imagine him having a real problem with getting into the endzone in goalline attempts. we did, however, only average around 2 td's a game - with most of those coming in meaningless passes when the game was already out of reach. i don't think shipp is in the top 10 in the league, but i do think he's above average back that has 1000 yard talent. hopefully, with a capital h, we are more competitive this year to ensure marcel gets some touches when it counts, and when were at the goalline.

From my recollection, you could count on 1 hand the number of times Shipp was given the ball from the 5 yard line in.

Well I think I am going to gamble and keep Shipp in my keeper league for a 6th round pick. I believe the Cardinals will share time between the two.

I think that at 35, Smith's durability is certainly a question. Shipp would be a good spleeper.

BTW, whats a good site for keeper leagues. Not just football, but maybe baseball too. Thanks!

I do like Antsports a lot. Myfantasyleague isn't bad either, but Antsports runs free Mock Drafts for football, has good message boards, and I appreciate that so I support the site.

Even then Shipp would be part of a nice drive, then the Cards would use Emmitt as the goal line back....
