Im starting this thread in this forum because Imma get disresptful..

All Lakers fans residing in AZ can eat a dick..

Never in my life have understood how someone could chose voluntarily to turn their back on the place the rest they head.. It dont matter if it was instilled in you, it wasnt instilled in me.. Doesnt matter if you have friends that like another team.. They aint friends of mine.. Some of you preach the state you live in and so much pride, but when it comes to your wack team, you turn a blind eye and make excuses.. Thats all they are is excuses.. Maybe you aint built strong enuff to take on a task like the one the rest of us true PHX folks have took on.. I see you at Cards games.. But thats playing both sides of your twisted game.. Spin it any way you want like most hated politician, but its what your doing to make it work for you..

Me? Imma be PHX for life..

And in case you forgot.. Im the Kiiiiiiiing!

Damn, you went all ******* and then dropped THAT song? One of my favorites. But did you just call yourself God, Gee? I don't think so my man.

You worry entirely too much about who roots for what, Gee. But since I love the song, I'll rip it off for ya...from my favorite verse...

I'm the man you see, ASFN is the place to be
I went to NAU and Az State University
my dad grew up in long beach so I acquired Lakers knowledge
and my family in Orange always visited me in college
so I'm down with the Lakers on the mic, a full swinger
the L to the A, not an PHX Suns swinger
the L to the A-K-E-RS'n
The 15 time champeons, damn they can bring it
Kobe to the paint packed, kick it out to Pau yack
two more points in the paint you can't touch that
Suns don't have any rings cause they'd be pawnin, nothing like Kobe who's working out in the morning
Titles? No! Suns got titles? NO!
We'll make another run, again leaving behind the Suns.
Lakers are the best knock, got the Suns in a headlock
and now all the ESPN flock is down with Lakes

Just out of curiosity, if your job transfered you to San Antonio on a Tuesday would you be a Spurs fan come wednesday? And if it doesn't have to happen overnight, how long before a transplanted Phoenician would be obliged to switch allegiances?

Besides the Lakers fans living in Arizona, you're also taking a shot at all the Suns fans that live elsewhere and trust me there are a lot of us on this board. I was born in Phoenix, I went to Grade School and High School in Scottsdale and then lived in Tempe for 8 years. I think of myself as an Arizonan and I will till I die but I've lived in So Cal now for 25 years. There are a lot of us that cling to our roots and I see nothing wrong with that.

Now, if you're just talking smack about how much better Arizona is than California and any smart former Californian ought to know that, well I'm behind you 100%. Well, more like 90%, because it's kind of nice having the temperature drop below a hundred in the evenings.

If I moved to another state willingly, I would most definitly start following their teams.. But that will never happen.. So that is a mute discussion..

I can only talk about my state and the people within it.. What another state does is no concern of mine..

So, Gee...you're saying that all of the Suns fans living in California should become Clippers, Lakers, Kings, or Warriors fans?

Arizona Cardinals fans living in other states should follow the team in their state, if there is one, right? :doi:

Also - if you were PHX for life...you'd never root for any team in Tucson (a place you've never lived).

I've never had one of those.

But your answer would be yes, you should change allegiances the moment you move to a new place? What if you had a job that put you in Arizona for 6 months and then LA for 6 months every year? Wouldn't you get dizzy changing teams that fast? Traveling salesmen would get very confused in your world.

Ive already addressed this .. My oonly concern is that of PHX.. AZ..

And as far as UofA is concerned.. What if someone wasnt admitted to their favorive college and had to go to a different one? Well, dumb question, ASU allows anyone to attend regardless of grades.. My bad.. I shouldnt have brought that point up..

Heres a more valid point:

http://medicine.arizona.edu/phoenix

It appears UofA is indeed a PHX college..

What do you do if you move to Alaska? Go Polar Bears! Or if a bachelor sells his house and takes up long-term residency on a space station? I just don't think simple geography need define fandom.

That would be pretty special. You could rid the valley of all those evil Lakers fans. Just make sure you keep your head out of your butt or you're liable to get your own wing at the Suicide Hall of Fame.

You keep bashing on those of us who have kept our loyalties to our favorite NBA team after moving to the Valley.

Just because you choose to be all about PHX doesn't mean everyone has to do the same. You likely didn't have any loyalties to other teams before you moved here so you cannot even relate to our situation.

Regardless, we are far better than the fans of multiple teams - like the "diehard Suns fan" who is not too upset when the Suns lose because at least "their Bulls," or "their Pistons," won that night. I'd rather have 100 real fans of another team living near me than one guy who has divided loyalty.

Pick one team per sport and support it 100% regardless of where you live. Just my opinion, of course.

Not true.. I was a huge Brewers fan before the DBacks came to town.. When they came to AZ, I dropped the Brewers immediatly..

And my major issue with this is that AZ is a transiant state and people from everywhere bring their teams with them.. Then we get dissed on in the public eye for not being loyal enuff.. Well duh.. We cant when every Tom Dick and Harry is supporting the team from the state they loved so much they decided to leave from.. This shouldnt be hard for you to understand when you go to Cardinals games for as long as you have and seen the throngs of opposing fans in stands.. But when football season starts I dont wanna hear all the lakers fans on the board complaining about the opposing fans.. Nope, keep it out your convo..
