Are we a good running team?
Are we a good passing team?
Do we excel at stopping the run?
Do we excel at stopping the pass.?
The answer is none of the above. The biggest problem is THIS ORGANIZATION DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A CLUE OF WHAT THEY WANT TO BE!
Kolb will be an adequate QB if ( and I mean IF) he is ever put into a consistant system.
The worse call of the day was when we came out and were down 14-0. The whole team was reeling. We threw on first down for a 9 yard gain. Smart. Pass when they think you're going to run.
And then came the call. With the perfect opportunity to run the ball , even if it took two attempts, we come out in a shotgun. Kolb goes back and the ball is batted out of his hands. Vikings recover then go up 21-0.
Wrong formation, wrong call, wrong mindset. It was the perfect opportunity to buy our defense a litttle time, reset the tone and get into a rythmn. But we didn't.
Why? Because this staff stinks at play calling. They stink at setting the tone especially when the opportunity is right in front of them.
And why oh why do we never attempt a deep pass early in the down?
Why oh why do we consistantly allow the other teams best players beat us without adjusting to stop them (Jared Allen cough).
Oh and nice personel move cutting Ben Graham. Who's idea was that? Let's see how long it will take for this organization to realize that mistake.
The biggest mistake is us buying into the thought that this organization has a clue.
I'm going to stop here because I could go on all night. Thanks for listening.
