It REALLY sounds like the Cards (for the first time ever) are trying to finally turn this thing around. Michael Bidwill and Rod Graves sound very sincere in their efforts. So my question is:

Would anyone else be irritated at the "fans" that would show up to the games if we start winning?

Don't get me wrong, I can't put into words how furious I get when I see 50,00 Vikings fans, Dallas fans, etc. showing up at SDS.

But we here are the long suffering, the deserving.

Being in the military I am around people from every region and am the butt of alot of jokes when it comes to speaking up about the Cardinals. I have put up with more than my fair share of crap.

I bleed Cardinal red. It's a sick disease I have. I taunted thousands at the Vikings game. For some reason I think I will be very irritated at alot of the "FANS" that will show up if they start winning.

We seem to have reached a lull today in the coach hiring process so I thought I would throw this out to help take up some of the time, kinda like holding hands and singing "Kumbaya" when stranded on a desert island after a plane crash.

:)

i know what you mean. we'd have to put up with a bunch of "died hard" fans who would flinch and leave at the first side of adversity. but if only the best soldiers fought, we may never win a war, right? i think we all should be rewarded somehow when they do start winning. maybe a special box in the new stadium?

Good way to pass the endless tick tock of the HC "Death Watch" -

Preparing ourselves for success.

One of the most difficult things for long suffering fans of losing teams to do is not get cranky when all the gringos try to jump on the bandwagon.

It's in the team's interest to have a big, wide, enthusiastic fan base. (More fans = more tix. More tix = more bread. More bread = better free agents. Better free agents = Super Bowl, baby)!

And with the broader fan base will come (a) former Felon fans, (b) football-ignorant people, (c) Cardinal-ignorant people and (d) folks who don't understand how to be good football fans (i.e. when to yell at the right times, how to ask unridiculous question on talk shows etc. etc.).

We need to grit our teeth, brothers & sisters, and welcome them with open arms, a patient heart and a bottomless willingness to teach these newcomers how to be terrific fans.

It won't be easy, folks, but we gotta do it.

Now - time to go surfing for new HC coaching info.

There will be bandwagon fans, no doubt. I don't care, I want the stadium full of Cards fans. Some of the bandwagon fans will become hardcore like us eventually.

But believe me when I say, that WE will always be able to tell who WE are... and who THEY are.

We're the ones who will be speechless after watching this team lose for so long. We'll try to yell, but no sound will come out. Shellshocked.

Plus, we'll be hammered.
