I have no doubt he will. If he has a disappointing season next year they will look for a way to move on from him.

Finding QBs is the hardest thing to do in the NFL.
Unless the Cards have a good backup plan they aren't moving on from K1.
So far MO has found Clayton Tune.

I voted yes only because of his contract. The only way to off load Murray is a trade in 2025.

Yes and my hope is he’s still struggling some with his knee injury (both mentally and physically) and will be over those struggles by next season.

Progress was made in 2024 and there will be more progress made in 2025. People that are upset about 7-8, regardless of how we got to 7-8, just don’t want to understand what the goals were this year in developing sustainable success. We can blame Murray all we want, but this is still an offense with zero home run capability at either the RB or WR position. And the OL, although better, still has plenty room for improvement. We have young guys that we drafted that will be further developed for 2025. The defense had its moments, mostly against the poorer teams, but couldn’t get off the field whenever our offense couldn’t eat up huge chunks of time of possession. Personally, I never, ever thought this was a playoff team, so I’m not in the least upset about 7-8. Keep drafting, keep developing, keep building. At this point, stay the course.

we won 4 in a row - we were undefeated in and leading our division - murray was playing perfect games and our defense was literally shutting teams down in the redzone

....but you "never, ever thought this was a playoff team"

This is a very sensible take.

I agree 100%. Going into the season 6 wins were the high mark expected by most of us, and some were even in the 4 or 5 win group. I think we will see a lot of improvement next year IF we tweak the offense a bit with maybe a speed WR and 1 upgrade to the guard position, then throw the kitchen sink at the defense. Not sure what will be available in FA, but DL and rushing OLB needs major attention. Do that and should see 10+ wins next year.

When we were winning many of the same people calling for K1s head were saying he wasn't playing well during those times.

Who did we beat during that stretch? We beat an injury riddled SF team, a decent Chargers team with a limited offense, an offensively pathetic Bears team, and an equally awful Jets team. None of these teams were capable of exposing a very well coached Cardinals defense that relied entirely on disguising tactics because they were so bereft of real talent ALL across the front line. We’ve beaten bad teams, and we’ve lost to the legit teams. If not for being crippled with injuries, we no doubt would have beaten Carolina. You are NOT a legit playoff team when your wins have been against a crippled Rams team at the time, a crippled Niners team, an ok Chargers team at home, a below average Dolphins team, and 3 horrible teams at home vs Bears, Jets, and Patriots.

Voted yes.

I'm all the way done. I never want to watch another Kyler drop back, but unless there's trade interest I don't see them moving off him yet.

But I think he's gone the year after.
Drop back is painful to watch. Even worse when he scrambles and throws an interception

Exactly. The rest of the world that doesn’t pay any attention to the Cardinals & thus have zero clue as to our few strengths and our many weaknesses. We all need to understand that this franchise is in the MIDDLE of a complete rebuild. Not the beginning, but definitely not in the latter stages either. THIS is what MOJG signed onto when they took their respective positions. We may not like it, but it is what it is. I personally love it, because in my 60 years of following this dreadful organization, they had NEVER taken this path.

This. A combination of cap implications and lack of viable alternatives will see him as QB1 in 25'.

I vote yes because that's what I think will happen, not what I want to happen. It's always next year with K1. It's always well he needs this or that. Bottom line to me is he doesn't elevate anyone around him, he doesn't make anyone better. He always needs something and always will. He is a limited mid QB. Year 7 will be no different because he won't get over his fear to be hit and will continue to panic. I'm surprised he hasn't been arrested yet, for going 110 in a 45 on the field.

Exactly. This 100% the problem with the Murray situation. We have Clayton Tune.

I don't think Ridder or Dobbs are viable starters but at least they have experience starting and actually have some wins. Had they kept Ridder (and yes, I know he wasn't good in preseason) it would be just slightly more realistic that Murray might be out of here.

Build the defense and try to win with defense. What's wrong with that exactly? Yes, Murray will never be a HOFer but I would love to see a winner sooner rather than later. Floundering around for very questionable QBs and then sucking even more is not what I want to see.
