Saw it on the other site....

Karlos Dansby - #58 - Linebacker - 6'4" - 243lbs
News: Doctors have reportedly informed Cardinals LB Karlos Dansby that the toe injury that has sidelined him for all of camp could end his career.
Impact: Possibly the most productive strong-sider in the game, Dansby's status for Week 1 is doubtful and his availability for the season is in serious question. First-year SLB starter Calvin Pace shouldn't be on IDP radars. (Tue. Aug 22, 2006)

Dansby update

It's becoming increasingly doubtful that outside linebacker Karlos Dansby will be ready for the regular season. He hasn't practiced yet this training camp because of a sore left toe that he said has caused problems in leg muscles.

Dansby was walking out of the team's facility Monday with a rolling bag that contained a treatment device that he said is helping.

"It's a serious injury," he said. "They say (it could be) career-ending injury."

Dansby said the problem is in the bone of his big toe. "It's moving up under my other toe, and it's causing my muscles in my left leg to shut down. I'm having a real tough time right now. It's been like this for a couple of years now, and my body just can't take it anymore."

Dansby said he feels much better now than he did a few weeks ago and is confident he'll eventually be fine. He's not sure when he'll make is preseason practice debut.

And Berry is going to miss the rest of the preseason.

And this quote from Green: "I guess we're concerned we don't have three deep," Green said. "Our first offense can move the ball. I think they can score points. I just don't think we have as much talented depth as the people we're playing against."

What an encouraging article.

He's calling out his players with that quote, don't take it at face value.

That doesn't make sense they talk about a career ending injury and then say he is not sure when his preseason practice debut will be.

This makes no sense.

I clicked that picture and nothing happened.

Bidwill didn't want to pay for the wires so it's just a button on the wall.

Its because he found a treatment that was helping him and thats why he was feeling a lot better. He'll still probably be unable to play the first few weeks of the season but it looks like he'll play this year (if I'm reading the article correctly)

It would be a possibly career ending injury if he continued to play on it and not treat it

I'm inclined to believe him, if he was just making that stuff up you'd hear someone on the Cardinals dispute it.

It's not a groin injury or something that's hard to trace, he either has that condition or he dosen't and I also doubt he came up with the career ending part or made it up.

I wish him well whatever it is.

I think everyone is overreading into what was printed. Dansby is getting close to returning to the field. His treatment is going well and he feels a lot better then he did a few weeks ago. This should be a good news thread!

That sounds like it reall sucks. Especially with 250 lbs pushing off on it.

When Karlos Dansby was having all of these injuries that kept him off the field, I read some interesting things on this board and I wondered if he was making a mountain out of a mole hill and wasn't being a team player. I guess it was a mountain. Eek.

Holy crap...This team is truly Cursed!!!! Freaking Pottsville!!!

Every year its something/s that derail AZ... I feel really bad if I said anything disparaging about Dansby (I dont think I did) regarding his situation. Its guess it may be pretty bad ligiment damage? there as so many bones etc. in the foot its crazy...

I almost did. I think I'll buy a Step jersey so we can be rid of him.
