Interesting. Keim says what he wants to identify is who loves it and are passionate about the game - after the season and the next three games.

"If you're not gonna compete and you don't play with passion, you're not going to be on this roster in 2017."

That's a strong statement cause Kneediche is the first name you think of when he says that.

I have heard that though from about every GM when the playoffs are not there, and it is actually a factual statement which I think most GM do abide by anyways :)

I think it's great news they'll all be back. The Cards are a few bad kicks from getting ready for the playoffs this year. Some changes need to be made but this is still a very talented roster. But, I get it. People love to overreact and think they know all the answers.

The biggest mystery to me is the WR play this year. They went from arguably the best unit in the league to maybe the worst.

I think the negotiations with Jones will be very interesting. Pretty sure Keim will offer him money commensurate with his value on the open market. The link is to how Spotrac evaluates a players worth on the open market. Actually is seems pretty sound. They have Jones figures at $12.5MM over 5 years it's $62MM.

In hindsight, not as surprising...

John Brown has sickle cell, pretty much lost for the season.

Floyd may or may not have an alcohol issue, but whatever the root, he regressed badly.

Jaron Brown on IR

JJ Nelson is a good WR4 and role player, but not anything more.

On top of that, Palmer has been off on his long ball most of the season until recently.

Sad, we could have overcome these as we have been adapting, but ST play really has killed us this year.
