Only solid plan Keim has for the off-season is not attending AA meetings.
I notice he can really get his panties in a bunch at times. He wouldn't last a minute here. LolHe blocked me, and I didn't even do that much.
Yep. Starts at the top. Owners can be real bummers at times. LolHey, if our owner's stupid enough to bring Keim back, we deserve to be the "Same old Cards." If Keim comes back, we'll deserve every L, every injured has-been or never-was offensive lineman, every overdrafted 1st-round pick, every stupid 2nd-round pick. In short, we'll deserve our continued suckage.
That's because you're a big poopie head and have no respect for....oh wait, we're talking about a journalist? Oh yeah then you're right he wouldn't last a minute lolI notice he can really get his panties in a bunch at times. He wouldn't last a minute here. Lol
I feel like we’re so bipolar sometimes.
BA has an equal share of the blame for the drafting during his tenure. Rightly or wrongly, his success allowed him to dictate the direction of a lot of our moves, which is why we didn’t draft a guy like Watson or move up for Mahomes. (Have we all forgotten about BA refusing to let Hump even sniff the field his rookie year?) I love the guy, he’s a great coach, but he’s got his warts. He loves his vets and he has little patience for rookies and younger players. Ask OJ Howard and Ronald Jones.
The non-BA drafts have looked solid to great thus far. Guys like Kirk, Cole, and Edmonds look like they have potential to be solid contributors. Even a guy like Korey Cunningham flashed and brought in a draft pick when he got caught up in a numbers game. Yeah, Rosen didn’t pan out. So far only one of the five QBs from the ‘18 draft looks like a franchise guy. You can put that on our scouting department, but heck, three-quarters of the league missed on Jackson like we did. Keim learned from that, looked at Murray’s film with an open mind, and went all-in. This year’s draft looks just as good if not better.
We all knew this was going to be a rebuilding year with the dead money and re-stocking the roster from the BA years and Wilks experiment. I’m all for giving Keim another chance to build the team. Let’s see what happens when the Cards aren’t handcuffed with the residue of former “win-now” decisions.
1. We did have shots, but our GM had the wrong kind of shots and was not willing to pony up. Then he panicked and finally ponied up for the absolute wrong pony the third time around.Just refuting the bold points here.
1. We didn't have a shot at Watson or Mahomes, and would have drafted them if they were there, almost 95% sure. But there was no way for us to anticipate those teams giving up as much as they did, and no way we could have competed with that compensation to move up 1-3 spots. It was too rich for unproven guys.
2. "The non-BA drafts have looked solid to great thus far." ...What? 2018 has yielded one starter (Kirk), and Cole and Edmonds are backups where we're actively looking to re-sign players that start ahead of them. Not only that, we entered that draft with 8 picks and have a whopping 3 players still on the roster a freaking year later.
2019 has yielded... maybe the QBotF, a potential starter at CB, a rookie safety we probably need to replace/drafted a replacement in the supplemental draft, and 8 other guys who have barely seen the field at all. Our other second round pick is being outplayed by street free agents, short of one big play.
These drafts were awful.
lolTheir status just changed from “In a Relationship” to “Its Complicated “
I’m excited for the offseason too. Keim created this cap space. Mike B is going to let him shoot his shot.
No thanks on Dupree. I'm not sinking big money into a guy like him.If we can get Dupree and Littleton in FA for the defense we would have arguably the best LB corp in the league. Jones, Hicks, Littleton and Dupree would be awesome. Add a dynamic DE in the draft and walla, we’d have a defense.
The draft will help but we need to fill major holes with experience. We can’t wait for draft choices to develop and waste Murray’s rookie contract.
What is your issues with him?No thanks on Dupree. I'm not sinking big money into a guy like him.
First year with over 6 sacks. Not a ton of TFLs. Not a leader. Gonna command huge money. What is your issues with him?
