If anyone heard the whole thing and I am mistaken or can add more please correct it.
I didn't hear the whole thing but Keim was vague on who they were targeting as QB (McCarrons name did come up) he also talked about players could be traded (only got part of that conversation)..Doug said it sounded alot like Nkemdiche was who Keim was talking about as one who could be traded. I like Wolf but he said Nkemdiche was gonna be great this year and not to give up on him just yet, I don't see it myself tho

Great, flip a 1st round pick for a 4th or 5th. #Bust #NoValue

Get what you can, while you can.

The potential value Nkemdiche brings on the field exceeds the value of a fourth- or fifth round pick so much that it’s not even comparable. Remember that it took D. J. Humphries two bad years before he, in my opinion, looked like a very promising player last season, and the same could surely be said of many other players. Maybe Nkemdiche will never pan out, but the chance of finding someone with even remotely similar athletic ability and potential impact on the defense in the middle or late rounds of the draft is almost non-existent.

I would think Nkemdiche would excel in a 4-3 hybrid like Wilks ran in Carolina.

One thing that stood out to me was how they were talking Free agent Qbs, and then went on to mention about how one of the hardest decisions was to release Adrian Wilson. Maybe talking about Tyrann?

He was eluding to Tyrann. He said he had to cut a fan favorite in AW once which was also difficult.

That's what I'd guess. Not sure they think it's even doable to renegotiate at this point.

Nkemdiche will have this year at the least to prove his worth here. He's got to show some durability as well tho.

I listened to the interview. IMO Keim, as expected, gave out nothing except that we will explore all options to get a qb.

Yeah... I read an article on FB...seemed pretty clear that a FA is his first choice,,then a trade(likely Foles) and the draft was option C

Not really. He positioned it via a timeline that free agency starts first which is March 14 while the draft is at the end of April. They will look first in free agency or trade which makes sense but he could get a bridge qb at that time and get the QBOF in the draft. He could also get their top starter in free agency. Bottom line is he gave no real hints of what their plan is except to explore all the options and have contingencies in place. No surprise, they will keep everything close to their vest.

Well when you need three, it is very likely that one could come from each. We are is a bad way right now, not to say that in 2 months it won't be a strength. You never know.

true...it also sounded as if he planned to do all three,lol...which is not out of the question... if they were to trade for foles, sign a guy like barkley or bradford and then draft a guy like Faulk or Lauletta in the third round...
depends on how the money works out...

whatever we are gonna do....I am just ready to get to it....still have a month before FA and we have already debated this from every angle....time to move on to the "oh my god why isnt Keim doing anything?" discussions, lol

Rather than see Nkemdiche given away for a relatively low draft pick, I'd like to give him a year under the new staff and see what they can extract from him. I'm sick of seeing players leave here and excel elsewhere. This coming season IS an "elsewhere" essentially.

Cardinals know they need multiple plans at QB

During a Friday appearance on Arizona Sports 98.7, Keim said he thinks Fitzgerald and Johnson will help with recruiting a free agent because the team will be trying “to make sure that any potential franchise quarterback understands that this is a special place.” That said, Keim knows that free agency is just one of the areas the team has to explore in their search.

“Free agency comes first. So, to me, the way you have to address it is you have to have plan A, B, C and D,” Keim said. “A: addressing it with a free agent quarterback. B: a trade option. C: draft, or, all of the above. We will leave no stone unturned, as I’ve talked about. But at the end of the day, you can’t get caught on A because there are different factors that go into decisions by a free agent quarterback or in a trade process that you can’t put your finger on. We just have to be prepared to move on to number-two or number-three and we can’t get caught flat-footed if the first opportunity doesn’t pan out.”

Who will they recruit, Cousins, Glennon, McCarron, Taylor (if he is released)?

So, to summarize, we can't do what we have done the last few years.

Meh...a lot being said about nothing. I won't be shocked if we end up with some combo of Tyrod Taylor/AJ McCarron and Baker Mayfield/Lamar Jackson. We will overpay for a mediocre FA QB and then overdraft a risky/flawed one. Hopefully it works out.

Dear Steve Keim, we are already caught flat footed due to our approach to the position under Arians with the belief the franchise was envisioned just for his tenure... time for the Cardinals to get some shoes with some arches in the draft, you cannot plan for a 5k when you are running a marathon lol
