If they had a charity one-on-one basketball game between Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu, I'd buy a ticket.

Or, heck, those two against any two Phoenix Suns.

Not even close to Bo Jackson.

Who is this guy, Bob Ferguson?

man...they sure are hyping up the ish out of Peterson! I hope they don't stretch him too thin. Having a pure lockdown CB can change a defense. I'd rather see him solely concentrate his skills there, but I am excited to see if he can really be some kind of all-world, all-everything transcendent player they think he can be.

I gotta believe Keim was referring to how "easy" things come to Peterson - athletically. Just as they did for Bo.
Of course PP is nothing like Bo in terms of how they played on the field... Two totally different bodies.

However, coaches marvel at how smoothly PP picks up new roles and new assignments. He becomes a master when most guys are still at the first grade level. Physically, he is a freak. Just as Bo was... but in a smaller, quicker package...

PP21, the Honey Badger, Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald. Damn, they win a couple of games and the Cards might actually get some national attention instead of "in other news, the Arizona Cardinals lost to the Vikings 16-3."

Peterson had an amazing INT today where he just skied over the WR and made a great catch. Best play of the day.

I can buy into that.

I see Patrick Peterson as a combination of the two. Not as fast as Deion Sanders, not as ridiculously strong as Bo Jackson.

Bo Jackson was a freak. The closest thing to Bo Jackson is the other Peterson, Adrian Peterson. But I don't think Adrian Peterson is as fast as Bo Jackson was.

I am sorry, but I don't get the comparison between Bo Jackson, Deion Sanders and PP, based on Keim seeing PP running routes and throwing a football. Things that Bo Jackson and Deion never did (that I know of). Weird.

I think the comparison is of the ability to do LOTS of stuff and do it very well and the comparison ends there. Bo and Deion were multi talented athletes who could handle most anything you threw at them.

Tell me about it. This comparison isn't fair to either player. I love Peterson as much as the next guy, but he isn't close to what Bo Jackson was.

Nice ammo for Peterson when it comes time for a new contract.

Steve...shut the hell up.

As much as I'm happy they're this excited about PP, I gotta agree that these aren't statements that should be made unless you're willing to pay him accordingly.

I am going on record in saying they are willing and will make him the highest paid CB in the NFL by the beginning of next season.
