I want to see the run down of Rod Graves picks within the last 5 years of his time as GM.

Isn't the average NFL like 2-3 years anyway. Pretty much most guys drafted don't last long period.

Keim has been hit with a touch of bad luck:

Non first rounders who clearly can play:

Badger- two ACLs
John Brown: weird sickle cell impacting soft tissue injuries
D Johnson: dislocated wrist
M Golden: ACL

Four impact players taken late 2nd or 3rd round who were durable in college, but missed most of a season (or more) in their first three seasons

Picks that worked out well from that list:

2013:
69-Tyrann Matheiu - S
103-Alex Okafor - OLB
187-Andre Ellington - RB

2014
27-Deone Bucannon - S
91-John Brown - WR

2015
58-Markus Golden - OLB
86-David Johnson - RB
159-JJ Nelson - WR

2016
(Crickets)

2017
13-Haason Reddick - LB
36-Budda Baker - S
157-Will Holden - OT (only because he's actually playing, not related to quality)

IMO that's 11 good picks in 5 years. Yikes, this is so eye-opening to look at it like this. This team is old because we can't scout or draft correctly.

I think TJ Logan will be good once he gets back from injury. I’m also still TBD on Chad Williams.

I also think Boehm can be solid if the coaching staff moved him to his rightful position, center.

I agree with what the rest you said, however.

Chad might not ever be a world beater but there was one play this year from his minimal exposure which made me smile about his contributions in the future. It was third down, he ran a slant and held on to the ball on I believe third down (might have been fourth with our season), but he was clutch for the first. Yes one play, but I cannot tell you how often a rookie finally gets a ball thrown their way, it's a crucial down and they do not follow through... and the kid did not jump up and down and make a big deal out of it but just did his job

I don’t think the % on the roster is as important as the performance of those draft picks.

I think there has to be a balance. Is every draft pick the Packers spend on a QB a waste because they’re blocked by Aaron Rodgers?

On the other hand, the Lions can have two Pro Bowlers on each side of the ball and go 5-11 every year.

I think that percentage of snaps by drafted players is a good intermediate term measure. I don’t think you’re penalized as much because you have someone blocking you, and you get a bonus for having health/depth that you’re drafted.
