I was worried about that when I saw the hit (even though it was not even flagged!!!). If Roger Goodell wants to turn this into flag football, this will be the first step.

And AW is the most important player on this team. We need him next week

Hasselbeck ducked into the hit...and Wilson led with his arms and his helmet ended up above Hasselbeck's. And thus no flag on the play.

A suspension here would be totally unfair and uncalled for.

Screw you NFL. Fine maybe, but a suspension would be bad form. The dude didn't even get flagged!

Just rewatched it. He acually looked to be letting up after the hit. No helmet to helmet if you ask me.

I hope you're right...although Goddell has been recinding a lot of fines lately

I was worried watching the play that this would be the excuse the NFL needed to sideline Wilson; my guess is they don't though as it's just too borderline with Matt going downward...we'll see.

I hate the idea of having an excuse in losing to the Giants, e.g. Wilson out.

Yep!!! If the do suspend him, this just verifies our conspiracey theory the league has against the Cards.

Well, I thought there was no way he'd get fined for the hit on Edwards. With Wilson's history, I don't expect good news about this.

I thought it was a hard hit, but illegal....not a chance. It was even more legal than the one on Edwards, as Hasselbeck had the ball this time.

If Wilson gets suspended for that hit they may as well hang two flags off the QB's ass so they don't get hit at all.

Pacman had troubles and it took a couple weeks to suspend him. IF Wilson is suspended as soon as this week, it will show that the league does have a team/owner bias, which is something the fan in me gripes about but the brain disagrees with.

NFL typically dulls out suspensions on Friday.

That's weak. The ONLY good thing Goodell has done for the NFL was clean up it's image with bad players. The officiating still blows, that London football game in the middle of the season is b.s. and now this babying the QB thing has gone WAYYYYY too far. Maybe he should ease up on these players doing their job and start suspending officals that suck and negativly impact the outcomes of the games?

Mike Sando is reporting that Hasselbeck told AW in the first quarter, "expect something in the mail." What a frickin puss

The full story is here, the full quote is: "[Hasslebeck] said, 'Good hit, but expect something in the mail.'

Depending on Hasselbeck's delivery of the statement he could either be
1) Keeping his own spirits up by making a joke.
2) Being amusingly honest, if he though Wilson would be fined.

"good hit" changes the statement for me.

Yeah, me too.

Also, I think he'll be called to the commissioner's office because he's a repeat offender (ala Allen and Wilfork). If he's contrite enough, he'll just get the fine.
