That’s the million dollar question I wonder if he was wanting to much money because he’s one of the four they worked out??? $$$ is the only thing I can think of because he’s by far the most experienced of who they tried out and has a successful history.
Well whatever they saved I hope it was worth two losses.

Wait, I thought I've read on here that we should have signed him instead of Amendola. Now that we've signed him and released Amendola, people are talking about how bad he is. Is he the best we could have signed?
I've never understood why you don't go out and sign the best field goal kicker you can. After all, they can and do, single handidly, win or lose several football games every year for teams. Just look at us.

He's not the kicker Prater is at least that's the report. He's the if Prater isn't able to kick on Thurs he's the kicker guy.

Which IMO means Prater isn't going to kick on Thur but they didn't want to get blasted in the media for the Ammendola disaster so they're acting like they think Prater will kick and then when he doesn't they'll say he just wasn't ready.

That's my prediction at least

Michael generally is a cream puff, but when the SB is in your town & your team is an embarrassment, then all bets are off as far as what MB might do. Old man Bidwill would have already had the locks changed.
I haven't been paying attention lately but have MB & SK been sitting in the owners box together lately? They always were in the past, if not now then that's a good sign that Keim's job is also on the line.

I'm sure we'll find that out on Thursday night. Cameras haven't focused on that much, but with all the negativity surrounding the franchise, we may see if that's the case. I remember them both sitting together in 2018, and the disgust on their faces told us everything we needed to know. Win or lose, I don't think we'll see any smiling faces. Not unless we score 45 points & Hop goes off for 180 yards. And we all know that the likelihood of that happening is nil to none.

If he was too expensive the first time around, I'm guessing he got the highest K contact in NFL history the second time around.

Yes. Keim said Ammendola performed best.

I know he was bad, but not sure your what you're supposed to do other than take the guy that worked out best?
Consider track record? Not bring a terrible kicker in to start with?

Two weeks too late. Again Keim should be fired just for the kicking debacle
I agree to a point. But I guess their thinking was. He was cut by the colts for missing a 42 yard Fg to either win or tie. So he could have missed the same kick with us. I’m more mad that during warm ups our dude kept
Missing right. So as a special teams coach. He needed to say let’s fix that on this kick. No matter what don’t miss right.

He's not a great K either but at least he has some track record of not just choking big kicks. he's missed some yes but he's made some.

If you google Ammendola you will find out two things, he's not related to the former WR(spelled differently) and he's been a bad Kicker since he got to college. He had a good leg but a track record of missing key field goals and being very inconsistent. in a game against baylor in college he went 2-4 on FG's, the misses were from 18 and 22 yards! People tried to defend it, Bob Griese did the game he pointed out the 18 yarder the laces were facing the wrong direction when he kicked it, and the 22 yarder the holder was still spinning the ball to get the laces out when he kicked it. But as everyone pointed out that should not matter on an 18 or 22 yard kick, he just missed. his own coach said so(Gundy).

Apparently everyone thinks he can be a good K if they can just fix him, they bring him in, try him out and then realize why the previous team gave up.

Blankenship as has been stated had a bad injury and doesn't have the same leg since then, but he at least has a track record. At least there's a chance if he has to make a clutch kick he might actually make it. But hopefully Prater can kick

Tractor.

I can use one word at a time too?
What does Young even mean? Are you referring to them getting a young kicker? Lee has been good/great for us the first three years with his stats going down some. I just don't how you can see a kicker that has been with our team for 5 years and been good as not successful.
