Plot[edit]
Kingsman: The Secret Service is based upon the comic book by Mark Millar, and depicts a veteran secret agent who leads a young protégé into the world of espionage. The villain is Mr Valentine, a tech-billionaire who wants to control the world using free SIM cards, so he can bring about a genocidal solution to global climate change.

Saw a preview for this last night, looks pretty cool.

saw another preview last night, also rated R. Will have to find out what is causing the R rating before I decide who I am watching it with.

Probably my son is the only one that will be allowed to see this. My other two are not old enough. However, my wife thinks this looks good. So maybe the 3 of us.

Sex & Nudity

A young woman's naked bottom is seen towards the end (very brief) after sex is offered. The scene cuts off before anything sexual happens.

That alone would make it uncomfortable to watch with my daughter so she wont be seeing this one :)

I've never understood this. Not challenging the way you raise your kids, I just don't understand why a person's bare butt would be more of a concern than strong violence. We all have boobs and butts and such but violence isn't a part of our daily lives (for most of us) unless misfortune befalls us.

Sex scenes, any type of nudity, its all just awkward next to your teenage daughter.

Shooting guns at bad guys isn't awkward. Did your parents let you watch roadrunner vs coyote?

Would you rather your kids in their room playing out a sex scene or an action scene shooting toy guns at each other?

I would also add, no teenager wants to watch it with their parents, either. Together with other teenagers, they're fine and can joke it away if it makes them uncomfortable. Not so much with parents.
But it is also in the context - in a sex scene for instance is much different than seeing Will Farrell's butt for the umpteenth time in whatever movie he is in...

agreed. just a random butt? don't care.

Butt being shown because it is a sex scene? Now I care.

Loved it. Especially loved that my wife said "I want to see it again!" when the credits began to roll.

I agree!

This was as much FUN I've had at a movie in a long time.

Oh and just to settle the debate, this is most definitely NOT for the kids. :)

Hilarious over the top action, super fun, witty dialogue and an ending.... well I'll just let you see it. haha

they showed the weakest clip on jimmy fallon last night, was like 1 minute of very boring dialogue. I am guessing it was the worst scene possible to choose to try to hype up the movie. I had no idea what they were talkijng about or what was going on. poor choice.

What a fantastic comedy-spy action movie. Had my friend and I rolling in our seats. He told me afterwards he would definitely watch it again--that night, even. I loved it myself.

Definitely not your father's spy movie. A really good time though.

This was a really fun movie but it's hard to peg. It has nods to classic spy movies while being something different. It's over the top but not in a serious way. It has action, humor and really cool actions sequences. The best way I can describe is taking some of the over the top Bond films and putting a modern twist to it. All while never taking itself too seriously. Like I said..hard to peg.

Damn fun though!

I actually really loved this movie--certainly the best of 2015 so far (IMO).

I liken it to Snatch or Lock, Stock -- just about spies rather than gangsters. Which makes sense, since Matthew Vaughn was one of the producers of both those movies.
