Yea because 6’3+ players never ever get hurt.

Your logic of players getting short because they’re not as tall as a Small Foward is ridiculous. You’re much better than this.

I am no better than who I am.

Kirk has been hurt twice in two years, both foot injuries.

Is what it is.

John Brown, JJ Nelson, arr just two that come to mind.

Said nothing about the WR needing to be tall by the way.

If all injuries are freak accidents then the Cardinals are the unluckiest sports team I have ever seen in my life.

If you do not believe that then I see not basis for a point to be made.

Either the team drafts and evaluates players that cannot hold up in the NFL, or this is the most snake bitten franchise in history.

That’s just bad luck. He never had injury problems at Texas A&M.

John Brown had a cell problem. Absolutely has nothing to do with his height.

When did JJ Nelson ever get injured or even hurt?

That’s what you’re implying. You’re against “undersized” players so it has to be one or the other.

John brown has a genetic disorder and Nelson is a bumb healthy or not. Not really helping your hyperbolic opinion.

Correct. One way or the other.

Nelson was banged up more than a few times with the Cardinals.

You can have tall recievers who are too skinny, and undersized. Todd Pinkston comes to mind.

Steve Smith was short, but strong and durable. I guess you can call him undersized.

Two foot injuries in as many years tells me Kirk cannot hold up.

He is not the 1st, "undersized"/"smaller" player that has been brought in by the Cardinals and relied upon, that is consistently hurt.

Is what it is.

Kirk and Brown are not JJ Nelson who apparently had photos of Keim or something
I said nothing about skill, just availability.

Call pure hyperbole, yet the facts remain that this team has had injury issues with thier small recievers.

Is it pure happenstance?

Maybe.

But, the injury lists ftom the past aren't written up by me, thus your argument is against the past and those reports.

I thought Kirk got hurt last year, but I guess that was fake news.

Whatever, I guess I am the only one not surprised he is hurt already. I just expected it.

As has been noted earlier in this thread, Kirk had Zero injury issues at A&M. And FWIW, regarding your contention that he's "too small," I happened to be on the gym with him a few weeks before the draft. IMHO, the kid is a brick *********. Judging from my own height (5'10"), I would guess he's an inch, maybe slightly more, taller than me. He is very thick from his shoulders to his thighs. Chiseled. Not an ounce of fat to be found on him.
He is plenty big enough to play WR in the NFL and his speed/quickness is elite level.

It is nothing more than damn bad luck that he has suffered injuries in his first 2 seasons... nothing more. And the fact that he chose to remain on the field and actually caught a pass after he suffered the injury underscores his toughness. Christian has a massive heart and I have no doubt that he will return and ultimately prove to be a very worthy 2nd round pick.

Hope so. I really do.

His availability is all I am concerned about.

The rest is great about his heart, physique, college career, but 2 years 2 injuries.

He got injured before the season even started.

He’s not “undersized”

Facts. No doubt.

Again, JMHO and I feel stated and explained my point (right or wrong) and am just repeating myself.

We will see.

Kirk is a #1 receiver on this team for what it's worth. This loss cannot be understated.

Yet on an average NFL team he should be the #3 WR. He has yac talent, but doesn't catch contested balls, runs sloppy routes andseemingly has drop issues. He will improve, but he will never be close to a #1 WR.

As a 2nd round pick, how does he compare to our most recent 2nd round WR pick?

Can't compare him to somebody that hasn't played yet. Both will never be #1 WRs but should be fine complemental playmakers. I'm still very high on Isabella. Dude is a baller and burner and should be fine down the road.

Kingsbury said the Cardinals do not want Kirk to rush back from the injury -- "It's a long season." But Kingsbury also didn't rule out Kirk being able to come back against the Falcons in two weeks. "That would be our hope. We'll see how he responds."

Just read this on the Bengals web site.

The Bengals today signed WR Stanley Morgan from the practice squad, and placed WR John Ross on the Reserve/Injured list. Wonder if Morgan is Stanley Morgan's son, the WR who played for the Patriots back in the 80s. His name is Stanley Morgan Jr.
