Kliff I think needs to consider the limitations of his players or rather why Keim is even giving them as an option. I swear our TEs were complete zombies on those early plays called in the red zone... I saw Seth DeValve just stand there on two plays and he was right in the middle of them which a block would have probably sprung a score

I do not accept this because those 'handed' turnovers where caused by guys in Cardinal red. Turnovers are part of the game and we caused those turnovers... hence, we earned and therefore deserve the score which blew them out

All of this, for my part, is criticism of the offense. The offense certainly was handed turnovers. Yes, the defense earned them, and then the offense blew them. Also, it's worse than what I initially stated; we were gifted an easy shot at 21 and only got 6. That's absolutely abysmal.

Now I concur lol

I predicted the entire 4 downs before they happened based on the formations including we would run on third down and then throw

It was what he has done over and over again in those situations. It's absolutely worth criticism because it isn't successful for a reason.

Then he changed it all in the second half, which is fantastic.

All of this can be true:

We dominated the game
Kliff coached a poor half
Murray was dynamic
Murray was inaccurate
We are top in the red zone for the year
We sucked in the red zone this game

It doesn't conflict. People are just latching on the part that fits the narrative they want

oh, I don’t disagree with any of that. I was just more agreeing with the decision going for it on fourth down. The play call and all the play calling post turnover was conservative lameness followed up by stupid risk.

You can't look at it as a microcosm.

The fact is...we are #1 in Redzone TD success. Period.
We are a top 10 scoring offense in the NFL. Period

Compared to 2018 or 2019 - light years ahead with basically two major changes to weapons (K1 and Dhop). We need better talent to get to the next level.
Uh no. Your analysis is all hammer and zero nuance or context. Dismissing trends is the epitome of denial.

I think the fourth down play should have been ran on third down. Then it opens up all possibilities on fourth down. My only complaint, then if it doesn't work I can't find fault in any of KK decisions there at that point of the game.

Yep. I mean, I'd still have wanted the FG there--that wasn't an inches play, but a long yard--but I agree. Run-run-run was AWFUL.

I think that if you criticize a body of work, you do have to consider the entirety of the body work and not just a small sample.

The Cardinals HAVE BEEN struggling, but even then, a solid defense/special teams play in any of those games would have been enough to win. The offense has been good enough thorough the entire season to warrant more than 7 wins.

I’ve long heard it said that top nfl minds look at seasons in 4 game units. I think that makes sense.

also doing what you suggest, considering the entirety of a body of work is really never done. At least not in sports. Unless you’re Larry Fitzgerald. For everyone else it’s a what have you done lately standard. And rightly so. The divorce with arians was done at the right time based on his latest production with the cards, not on the first three seasons.

When you take into account how long it took for Simmons to even sniff the field, had we drafted Lamb, we probably have 3 more wins right now. Don't get me wrong, I still like the Simmons pick, but this offense needs a CeeDee Lamb type WR so, so bad. Outside of Hopkins, our WR group is collectively poor. As bad as we need CB's, I think we need a #2 WR WITH size even worse. Throw in a RB & TE too. Can you imagine how good Murray would be with legit weapons!

DK, McLaurin and Johnson were the next 3 WRs taken after Isabella. Just saying...

And how do we know Kliff could scheme Lamb into this offense to produce like he has in Dallas? Considering our passing game has been pretty much a 1 trip pony all year, I’m not so sure Lamb would even have similar numbers

just sayin

Also considering Lamb has been playing Slot and how little we use slot receivers over the middle. If you look where Lamb got most of his yards it's exactly where we don't pass the ball.
