For the fourth time Klitschko is injured and has to postpone his fight againt Rachman. I hope they strip him of his title. Its well known he is waiting for his brother to get a belt so they can both be champs together.

This is funny. After putting a beating on Lewis that was stopped by cuts, and playing well, I cant believe that he is "injured" again. You're right, he should be stripped of his title.

Klitschko has retired.

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) -- WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko has retired because of a knee injury, a statement on his former promoter's Web site said Wednesday.

The 34-year-old Klitschko pulled out of Saturday's title defense against Hasim Rahman in Las Vegas because he tore ligaments in his right knee last week in training. The WBC said earlier this week that Rahman would be given Klitschko's title should the Ukrainian fail to defend within three months.

The knee injury would require six months to heal. Klitschko's statement said the knee was examined Tuesday, and that he underwent surgery in Inglewood, Calif.

Lame. I feel for the guy, but this makes the heavyweight division even that more unwatchable.

Actually it paves the way for a Brewster/Rahman/Ruiz/Byrd unification tournament. The only thing that held it up was Klitschkos injuries and his mandatory.

Vitali retired not Wladamir. Wladamir is on the comeback and just beat Peter.

The Klitschkos were two of the greatest reasons to watch heavyweight boxing. The best combination of size, speed, strength and skill I have seen in a long, long time. Too bad neither of them has much of a chin. Ala Tommy Morrison. The beating Morrison took in the Mercer fight.........:shudders:

Vitali had a heck of a chin. Proved that against Lewis. Now Wlad has an ok chin he just has no balance. So he gets knocked down alot but usually gets back up.
