When you watch the video above you pretty clearly see him lean his shoulder into Dragic rather than just simply running by him or turning the other direction away from Dragic.

Yeah actually you've changed my mind on this. It looks intentional to me now. There's no reason for Smith to do that little hip nudge unless he's specifically trying to create contact.

Exactly. Its really hard to believe JR Smith lacked the agility to avoid that contact, and they way he moves his left arm and upper body it looks as though he actively caused it.

JR Smith is an uber, uber, uber douche. One of the guys in the league that deserves multiple forearms to the face when he goes to the rack.

I don't wish ill will on many players, but I can not stand JR Smith. Not an ounce of him. I wish he'd sew his mouth shut at the tat parlor next time.

Don't know what he did, but I agree with you suns fans on this one. He did it! Dirty b!

You are big on leveling devastating personal attacks on players, not just this one. I, for one, come to this board to read about basketball, not your insults against the players. I really wonder what is going on inside of you that finds it necessary to attack these guys out of the blue.

That's Phrazbit for you. And not just players, he'll call fellow posters "dumb" as well.

He does it constantly to Beasley and now he's following his path to JR Smith. I agree with you, it is quite annoying.

The camera angles on the video viewed above definitely suggests intentional contact. The front side video I seen during the game was not as clear. I was definitely wrong on this one.

I'm glad listening to the Knicks broadcast that Mike Breen said, "you just can't do that."

lol, I do?

It slays me how every time someone disagrees with me you hop in the thread and slob all over it. Its kinda cute. But you go ahead and root for JR Smith. And if I've ever called you a dumb, its not because you disagree with me, its just an honest assessment of your cognitive ability.

In an article written by Bob Young at azcentral dated 12-27-12, here is the Suns take on the foul committed by Smith against Dragic.

http://www.azcentral.com/sports/sun...gic-out-vs-indiana-pacers.html?nclick_check=1

He saw it coming an so adjusted his body to avoid being hit, strange I know, we don't see that very often, but to suggest he would fall without being bumped or that he was off balance is just pure nonsense. In my opinion it was intentional no doubt. Only Smith knows for sure though. Hope Goran returns today, hate to wake up two nights in a row to find out he's not there... GO SUNS!

It was definitely intentional but I don't think it was at all malicious. Not that I think Smith is above delivering a cheap shot, I just don't think that's what happened here. I just think he was trying to stop the layup and thought he could get away with a sneaky foul. Unfortunately for him, Goran's balance was off and he took a nasty tumble from the contact. By the rules, it's an obvious Flagrant One but nothing more IMO.

I was posting about the Suns position on the foul. You might review my latest post (before this one) after I had reviewed further video. I now believe there was intent on the foul.

No question JR brushed him intentionally and in that circumstance its a Flagrant 1.

Did no one else see the Flagrant 1 hit he laid on Dudley that I mentioned earlier?

The Suns ought to make a ruckus about both to the league though since its their darling Knicks I doubt if they'd do anything. And if the refs found out they did it they'd probably give the Suns even worse treatment for trying to show them up.
