Pennington Is Done
I live in the New York area, so I've been able to watch many Jets games.
He is a very intelligent QB that can get the team out of a bad play. He literally does not have an arm left. I've criticized Leinart about his arm, but Pennington is much, much worse.
The key to this game is stopping the run and short passing game by using 8 man fronts. Pennington is not going to be able to throw deep. Every pass he throws is a rainbow. He does not have a quick release, and he is immobile. We need to jump out to a quick lead and force Pennington into a passing game. I would take the opposite approach in this game from what we did against the 49ers and pass first to get our lead.
They have a very young team that will get rattled after a long road trip in a loud stadium.
