Leandro was not intentionally hit. I don't see any room for arguement there, and I'm a Suns fan!

Barbosa is the man, and he also carried himself with dignity after that elbow. He just came back out and led the team--no cry, no whine--just kill em on the court. I love that attitude.

I really wish the Lakers had drafted him.

In case anyone else noticed, Lamar Odom caught an elbow as well. He had a busted lip near the end of the fourth quarter. Noone replayed that one though.

I dislike him greatly. Not quite hate yet.

BUT

I respect Bowen.

Raja doesn't have the craftiness to be on Bruce Lee Bowen's level. As dirty as Bowen is, he is a vet and knows the game, doesn't get rattled and picks and chooses his flops.

Raja talks far too much to earn respect. He comes off to me as quite whiny for such a physical player. If you are going to hang and grab on someone, you need to shut your mouth when you get hits back. Malone was dirty as hell, but didn't cry. Bowen doesn't cry. Raja doesn't understand that yet. If this is going to be his persona, he has to just get all the way into it and shut his mouth and play. Nobody respects a dirty player that whines. You have to tip your hat to a dirty player that doesn't whine however...you can hate the hell out of him, but you have to respect what he does and why. Raja's in the dirty player limbo right now.

Funny we finally have something in common I don't respect nor like someone too, you.

Ok, whatever, I know what I saw, OUR hometown announcers saw the very same thing, no one else here watches the local broadcast or what?? They taked about it and showed replays for a good 2-3 minutes.

Easy, turbo, I just watched it on TIVO and it was an elbow. Even the brain trust announcers mentioned it on the slowMo replay. I don't have a clue where your coming up with this 'head' thing.

And for what it's worth, Ouchie hit it on the head when he said Kobe doesn't 'throw' elbows. He does use them to clear space, and that is a judgement call as to if they feel he is the one initiating contact, or making space outside of natural space he is entitle to.

The NBA game is a bizarre basturdization of what was a pure game. Stars effecting calls. Markets influencing officials. Strange times.

It looked like it was head that hit Barbosa's face not his elbow to me too. Either way it wasn't intentional but incidental contact.

Good thing it didn't rattle Barbosa, I half expected Barbosa to come out and lose his aggressiveness but he came back without missing a step.

Barbosa came up huge last night. Hopefully confidence from game 6 carries over.

Anybody else have a feeling that the highly anticipated Raja/Kobe matchup is gonna "disappoint" because there won't be any more antics because neither will want to be suspended for game 1 in round 2.

Here's a little video of the Raja flop from the Kobe "elbow" to the face.

What was Kobe doing with that left arm anyway??? Just clearing space???

When a player throws an elbow one can only presume he wants to make contact or doesn't care if he makes contact. Even in this video I cannot determine if contact with the elbow was made. Perhaps just hitting a player with a forearm is okay?

This is not the first instance of Kobe using his elbows/arm to clear space. He repeatedly does this. IMO, Kobe feels it is okay to dish it out, but he is not willing to take it because he is a "star."
