I don't hate Kobe first of all, second your making assumptions as well. Lebron is already a better LEADER than Kobe. He has lead teams of SCRUBS to the best record in the league. I am not downplaying Kobe I just disagree that he is hands down the best player in the league as someone posted. You have every right to disagree doesn't make me crazy or a biased Suns fan, maybe grow up a little and get thicker skin didn't mean to offend the Kobe jock sniffers on here!

And argue all you want if Lebron had all the talent around him that Kobe has, their is a very good possibility he would have won it all.

Well since Mjay fans love to use this one...

Nashman, when LeBron has as many rings as Kobe does, perhaps he can join the argument.

Goodnight, sweetheart.

I guess I just don't see the Cavs as a "team of scrubs." I don't think LeBron had the same level of talent around him as Kobe though, that I definitely admit. Could LeBron have won a title with the same cast Kobe had? Probably yes he would have. What I disagree with is that the Lakers would have been a drastically better team with LeBron instead of Kobe. Even if you do believe LeBron is better (which is a realistic argument) you can't really think there is more then a very slight gap in talent level right? The bottom line is Kobe and LeBron are the best players in the league, and I think it's safe to say there is no real argument against that. My issue was with the argument that LeBron would have done signifiantly better with the same talent, that's just ridiculous in my opinion. I think each player has their pluses and minuses, but to me what really sets Kobe above LeBron is closing out games. When LeBron learns to close out games consistently, he will pass Kobe as the best in the world. He's not there yet.

I can agree that Kobe is the best closer in the game right now, to me doesn't make him the best player but him and Lebron are definately top 2. I never said their is that much difference in talent the fact is its very close right now on talent and LB is much much younger than Kobe. Kobe was not the player LB is at his age and LB also seems to be a better leader jmho, not that big a deal to me since the Suns have neither but if we could have one would rather have LBJ!

Both are great talents but neither is really much of a leader.

I'd say Fish was the leader during the Lakers' threepeat and this most recent team didn't really have one guy stand out as the leader. I think that's part of the reason their play is so up and down.

LBJ...not a strong leader yet. Walking off the court without congratulating the other team and bailing on the postgame interview shows his immaturity.

No doubt LBJ needs to mature a little more, but without question he LEAD that team to the most wins in the NBA, he IS a leader.

What is this "leader" talk. What the hell does that mean?

Amare >>>>> Kobe/(Jerome James)*Lebron^(Kobe)

No one in their right mind would put Amare's name anywhere near the "best player in the league" argument. He's lucky if he's in the top 5 at his position.

I just did. You are measuring a player's greatness via some antiquated paradigm. In the new paradigm, there is no greater achievement than scoring 41 points with a detached retina.

Vince Carter jumping over a 7 footer comes in second.

I don't understand this whole "winning championships" thing. Lots of crappy players win championships. Not many crappy players score 41 with detached retinas.

Wow, I guess since it is the Lakers, they GET to go on all these late night shows, I haven't seen any of them, but I check the guest lists frequently and it seems they are on every late night show this past week...

I guess America really wanted the Lakers to win, sarcasim.

I knew this would come up. That was the only time I was actually interested in something Kobe did, then I felt really guilty about being interested.

That could also be captioned "Not Crazy" and "Crazy"

Not really.

Xavier McDaniel was definitely crazy. You ought to know since he throttled your boy Wes.

Odd, I forgot his craziness. I also liked Xavier (and I like Bill Artest, as well).
