Just heard on ESPN from Jim Gray... Kobe's decision will be made around noon tomorrow (Sorry if someone already mentioned this already but I didn't see a thread out there...)

Here's hoping that Kobe is a Clipper by tomorrow night. Down with the Lakers!

That would be great if he became a Clipper! Stick it to da man!

Opps, reality check... He'll resign with the Lakers.

Finally... a decision will be made tommorow !!

What an 180 for the franchise if Kobe signs with the Clippers (It will be hard to imagine seeing the Clippers become a playoff team while the Lakers end up going to the lottery)

I'd love for him to sign with the Clippers but considering how quickly he's made his decision after the trade of Shaq, I believe he's re-signing with the Lakers.

Or the fact of how quickly he made his decision after the Clippers made more cap room.

It goes both ways.

Very true... I've got a gut hunch that the Clips may have their man. I don't think they make that trade yesterday if it wasn't to help sign Kobe. But what do I know...

It would really suck for the Clippers if Kobe signs with them...

We get Q...

Then for some bizzare reason Kobe goes to jail...

Clippers would have nothing to show for except for alot of money left over

I know Kobe is not going to jail but this scenerio would screw the Clippers over BIG TIME

Yeah, that would suck... Come to think of it, better them than us! For some reason I don't think Kobe's gonna be as good without Shaq down low. It's going to be a very interesting first year for him being Shaq-less. Who think's Dwayne Wade is going to be a big time stud with Diesel there? I know it'll only help, obviously. Maybe Kobe was a product of having Shaq around??

Dwyane Wade was going to be a stud if Shaq was there or not. Some people around here don't agree, but the kid has superstar written all over him, Diesel or not.

As the clock chimes the twelfth time, both owners turn in their chairs--for Kobe has entered the room, holding a single rose...

I agree... I think he was neck and neck with LeBron and Carmelo last year. He just didn't get the pub that those two received.

During half time of the Suns-Cavs summer league game on NBATV they broadcasted the press conference with Mitch Kupchak. Let me just say, he looked terrified. He was defensive, inarticulate and very, very nervous. He talked around the questions being asked and right from the beginning it was clear that he has no idea what's going on or what's going to happen. Honestly, if I was Kobe and I looked at the roster that would be around me on the Lakers, then I met with a nervous, sweating, panicked Mitch Kupchak for the last time while Jerry Buss was in Italy, I would pick the Clippers. I'd rather have the calm, Elgin Baylor "I have no idea what I'm doing" face than the wet, insecure, frantic Mitch Kupchak "I have no idea what I'm doing" face.

Honestly, if I'm Kobe, I don't know if EITHER L.A. team is one that I would want to be part of. His wife must have his huevos in a grip. I truly am surprised that he didn't give the Suns more of a look. Or any other team for that matter. Of all the teams interested in him, the Nuggets looked like better contenders. Heck, even the Suns may be better than both the Lakers or Clips next year. Granted, if we signed Kobe, we may not have had Nash either. But who knows?? With a sign and trade, we could have still reeled in Nash.

If there is a category of "less than zero probability", this one fits. What kind of sign and trade do you really want to do for a guy who could easily be playing for a prison team this fall? :D
