It's possible, I heard Horton was interviewed this morning & somewhat yesterday...so that complies with the Rooney rule.

PHOENIX (CBS5) - The Arizona Cardinals have reportedly named a new coach.
According to the CBS Sports NFL Insider, Andy Reid, formerly coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, will be head coach for the Cards.
The coaching position is expected to be filled by the end of the week.
Former coach Ken Whisenhunt was let go on Monday after six years with the team. Longtime General Manager

Rod Graves was also fired.
Reid was fired yesterday after 14 seasons as head coach in Philadelphia.
We'll have much more on this developing story Tuesday night on CBS 5 News at 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Could be true, but beware of the echo-chamber effect (whereby one rumor gets repeated 20 times so that it sound like 20 different corroborating messages).

Isn't Reid going to want a lot of say in personnel like in Philly? Sounds like our previous HC hmmm just a thought

Difference is Reid and Heckert had a relationship in Philly and they worked together on personnel decisions and Im sure thats what would happen here.

Somers tweeted out after this rumor that the Cardinals are not looking at Heckert.

Which is exactly why I said, it would be such a similar role Wiz had in Az...imo Reid isnt going anywhere without some say. The Cardinal way :bang:

I would think most established head coaches have some say in personell.

With the big exception that Reid has proven he can develop QB and players drafted during his tenure.

I just watched the 6:30 broadcast; While they led with the story they also appear to be backing off it a bit.
