Warner was interviewed on KDUS (Bill Lewis/Dale Hellestrae) at noon today.
Pretty soft interview, how do you like Phoenix, compare Dick Vermeil vs. Tom Coughlin (laughably, Warner said they were a lot alike, but a different coaching style).
Relative to the Cardinals: offensive style similar to what he ran in St. Louis, QB will not have to regularly stand in pocket for 5 seconds, design will play to the strengths of personnel, as opposed to personnel fitting the offense. Lots of talented young players on the team. Warner would not go so far as to say the Cardinal recievers are as good as he had in St. Louis (they're young, need to develop) but they could become...
Lewis asked if Kurt was the agent for his wife Brenda, "We would like to get her on the show about once a week." ( I was surprised he said this on the air.) Warner's reply was that he wasn't her agent, but he was an advisor. Mentioned Brenda got "into some trouble in St. Louis", has learned from the experience and is much more cautious.
Asked about his "Cinderella" career, Warner responded that he is grateful for the career that he has had so far, the ups as well as the downs, that God has given him the experiences for his learning, to be a better man, to be able to impact the lives of others.
That's about all I caught and recollect; I was in the car at the time...
Anybody else catch it...
