OAKLAND — Last Thursday night, when the Warriors drafted Cincinnati wing Jacob Evans with the No. 28 overall pick, general manager Bob Myers declared that he didn’t think Golden State coach Steve Kerr was “going to have any problems putting him out there” in the 2018-19 season. That’s exactly what the Warriors needed from that draft selection — a wing player with the skills and maturity to make an immediate impact. Evans’ film shows a player who is ready to play defense at the NBA level and could provide some timely offense. He’s ready-made to be a role player with plenty of upside for the future. But there are plenty of guys who look good on tape. Perhaps just as valuable — if not more important
