Laker center under investigation in sex assault case

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a report of an alleged sexual assault involving Los Angeles Laker basketball player Kwame Brown.
Investigators in Los Angeles tell 12 News that the assault is alleged to have occurred in the early morning hours of April 29.
The Suns host the Lakers in Game 5 of the NBA Playoffs at 730PM at US Airways Center. No word on whether Brown is with the team.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery Homicide Division is handling the investigation.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office has been made aware of the investigation.
