Yeah, we got to get better," Murray said when asked about the production between himself and the first-year wideout, per PHNX Sports' Bo Brack. "It's not where he wants it to be, where I want it to be, where the team needs it to be."

Murray added: "I haven't lost any confidence, (I'm) excited for these next two weeks.

This was my biggest WTF of the season. This was supposed to be his DHop. But they NEVER got on the same page, both because of K1 throwing him high balls and bad balls, to MHJ dropping almost everything (and don't come at me with PFF stats, we have eyes).

This was supposed to be the lightning combination, and it's a spark at best. A lot of that is on Uncle Fester, unquestionably, but the chemistry never developed and MHJ really is lacking in the skills needed for a #1 WR at the moment, mostly from neck up.

WR usually takes a big leap in between year one and two, which I remain hopeful for, but MHJ was supposed to be the most NFL ready dude in a generation. Forcing balls to him and watching him fail to bring in contested catches has been really frustrating. And Kyler flat out ignores him for stretches.

It's a failure at every level, Uncle Fester, MHJ, and K1. The most solvable problem this off-season IMO, but we need a QB and WR whispererer. If MHJ is not living at Kylers house all summer, things are wrong.

Its a current quote from Kyler so I have no problem with it being on a new thread as sometimes current information is buried in old threads. Additionally, there will always be and are countless threads on Kyler. I also agree with D-Dogg on the critical nature of these two players developing an outstanding chemistry in games. It is critical going forward for the Cards to be successful.

Before the bye it looked like Kyler and MHJ were starting to get there timing together. They started to complete some back shoulder fades that would be unstoppable. However, after the bye it completely disappeared. I do not know why all of our WR have disappeared. It is particular concerning about MHJ. Even if the coaching sucks his dad should be able to give some pointers.

I remember a time McBride was being called a bust, bum, wasted pick, etc. Hoping our round 1 "bust" MHJ takes a similar path next year...
That was a dumb take then. MHJ came in with a lot more expectation and while he's been a good rookie, he was supposed to be transcendent.

I think we all do but again Trey had a back injury that derailed his rookie year. as far as we know Marv doesn't have an injury

No, that’s Kyler. Remember

Other than the concussion there's no reason to think Marv has any injury, and that was ages ago.

Trey came off a back injury and you could literally see he wasn't healthy.

When people compare the rookies years of the 2 they completely forget that. We know why Trey wasn't better, he was hurt, and we had a very good veteran TE ahead of trey.

We know why Trey struggled as a rookie
