I thought this was pretty interesting when I saw it today. Compared in the top 10 of Cardinals passers, Kyler has the:

Highest completion percentage (66.7%)
Top 4, soon to be top 3 for TDs (105), though it feels like this number is including rushing TDs.
#1 in QB rating, above Kurt Warner and Carson Palmer.
The lowest INT % at 2.0. Look at Plummer and Hart both over double that, yikes.
He lags behind Kurt, Carson, Neil Lomax, and Charley Johnson in yards/attempt.
In the next couple of games he’ll cross Jake for #3 in career yards.

There’s quite a bit to cheer for here, and it feels like he finally has a regime that will maximize his abilities. Now if only we could staff up the defense a little and turn that win category positive.

Hart’s numbers are God awful. Why did they keep him for so long?
Jim Hart was good in the early 70's under Don Coryell. Unfortunately for him, our brilliant owner at the time fired Don Coryell. & hired a college coach in 1978 who had been retired from coaching since 1963. Bud Wilkinson lasted only 2 years until Mr B gave him the axe, the Cardinals were horrible in those 2 years.

For his time he wasn't a bad passer. The top QB in his era rarely hit 60% of their passes. They were all of in the fifties percent area. Now even the 32 ranked QB (Will Levis) last year hit over 60% of his passes.

Totally different era. He wasn't great but he was good enough back then to win, the problem was always the defense.

Hart was great in the 4th quarter too we truly were the Cardiac Cards then.

If you look at Jim Bakken's numbers you would think the same thing but he was one of the best kickers in the league at the time

the nfl put a crap ton of work into making that true. I would love to see Marino or Plunkett or Montana,..in their prime,...playing by todays rules.
Joe might complete 90 Percent
Marino would surely surpass 7000 yards in a season
