Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James notched another 30-point outing in the G League, setting a new career high in scoring to lead the South Bay Lakers to victory.

James produced 39 points, seven rebounds, four assists, four steals and one blocked shot in a 122-118 win over the Santa Cruz Warriors. He went 14-of-21 from the field, including 4-of-8 from 3-point range, and was a game-high plus-19 in 38 minutes on the court.

The 55th pick is one of seven players to record at least 35 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals in a game this season in the G League. He scored 21 points over the last two quarters to help the Lakers overcome a seven-point second-half deficit.

James is averaging 18.7 points, 4.6 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals on 32.7% shooting from 3-point range in 17 appearances with South Bay. He has registered three 30-point games and is one of five players to reach that mark in 25 minutes or fewer after achieving that feat on Dec. 12.

The 20-year-old rejoined South Bay after a productive stint with Los Angeles last week. With the Lakers down several key players, James recorded a career-high 17 points, five assists, three rebounds and one blocked shot on Thursday in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

James has made steady progress throughout the year and looks to be settling in with L.A. and South Bay. He and the Lakers can see his work in the G League beginning to pay off, resulting in some strong performances for the organization of late.
