FRYE SUCKS A$$ ... Holy waste of money. I rather pay his contract as charity to a small impoverished nation than pay this POS. I'm fed up. Don't even give me that he played defense. Yea he was aggressive but he continued to stand around and get raped from behind on the boards and play pretty pathetic defense overall. Don't forget the wide open bricking and that atrocious turnover to a crosscourt pass to Nash. OMFG SMH.. And what the hell is Childress doing on the bench? He is actually a gifted defender. Heck I rather have him out there than Frye.

Better that Frye play than Lopez.

Childress can't shoot.

Suns need a true PF.

We shoud inquire about Hickson and give em what ever it is as long as its not ridiculous to acquire him.

I'm with you on Hickson. He's on the block and we have players to trade.

So much for Lopez playing better with Gortat out there. Frick. I am on the verge of calling Lopez the worst or close to the worst starting NBA center in the NBA. He is that freaking bad. Also, what was with some of the other Suns and their shot selection tonight? Some guys that typically don't take bad shots were chucking stuff up tonight.

I think at times guys looked more cohesive. Also, freaking Dudley is amazing this year. Seriously....we should consider putting him in the starting lineup to see what he can do. He played on both ends of the freaking court tonight. Also, Gortat was matched with Gasol most of the night and did a great job. Gasol only had 6 points.

Lopez had a -9 +/- tonight and Gortat had a +/- of -10, Lopez is better and that proves it.

Hickson got benched on one of the worst teams in the league.

Hard to understand you fascination with bad big men.

With the Suns deciding to go big vs. the Lakers, I can't understand why Hill got any playing time at Power Forward or why Frye got any time at Center tonight.

The Suns mentality has to change, that's why.

When Dudley got hot, another Wing should have been left on the bench, instead of pushing Hill up to PF and Frye up to C and backtracking on the game plan.

Someone has to show the courage to give it a chance.

I disagree, he's 22 and has a lot of ability and is a pretty decent pick and roll player right now. Plus he is friggin built. Something we need down there to offset the twig that we have as the PF now, Frye.

Who else is there to put on the floor instead? Gortat played heavy minutes tonight. Lopez was Lopez. Warrick is not a big. Lawal and Siler are D league players.

The Suns roster has to change before its mentality can change.

Yes it does, but tinkering around players like Nash and Hill changes nothing.
The Suns need to start there, otherwise any talk of changing the mentality/philosophy.....it's all just lip service.

I expect Gortat to be gone a year from now, while Nash will likely remain.

Do the Suns hold some kind of a grudge against Artest that they refuse to guard him for two years now?

And then of course they give up an offensive rebound when they needed to get the ball back the most.

I saw this from highlight. The game was almost over and none of the player wanted to try to stop him. Looks like 3 players tried to stop Kobe in the middle. Vince Carter was on Gasol? He could get to Artest faster from that angle.

I don't know why Brandan Wright can't get any playing time in GS
We should try to get him.

I don't think it is Dragic, but the team gets a lift when Nash is on the bench now. Gentry has pretty much rotated every body to the starting line up now and different guys have good games every night.
Hate to say it, but I think we should trade him, maybe NY for their PG and a pick or some thing, maybe we can dump Lopez on D'antonio too:D.

I thought many of you said Dragic was pretty bad this year? He had a better game tonight but last game against Kings, he seemed pretty bad?

And I don't like this "different guys have good games every night". This means the rotation is unstable and when players play different minutes every night, they get distracted/discouraged. I know Gentry hasn't found that good rotation yet and he is still testing. It may take more than half of the season to test though.

On the bright side, we didn't get blown out. :p At least Suns competed.

Lol. I hope I see a hint of sarcasm. +/- is one of the most useless stats ever because it relies on production of other people and 5 man combinations. When Gentry makes changes on court it's usually not a 1 for 1 position change.

I am assuming your kidding because I don't see how anybody can say Lopez is not one of the worst starting Centers in the entire league.

P.S. I know you hate Frye but I would rather see Frye on the court then Lopez. Hands down and any day of the week.

With the Suns deciding to go big vs. the Lakers, I can't understand why Hill got any playing time at Power Forward or why Frye got any time at Center tonight.

That is simple. Because you started your two centers on the roster together and when one gets in foul trouble or letting the opposing guy Bynum work him, you have to move that said guy to the bench. Hence Frye comes in. When your remaining big man needs a breather, you have 2 choices. Bring Lopez back in (dear god help us) or go small.

That is the choice the Suns are left with by starting both Lopez and Gortat at the same time. I brought this up several times that the Suns were going to be mini-mes off the bench if they did this. That is exactly what happened when Gortat went to the bench and Lopez does what he always does and plays himself out of the game.

It's definitely sarcasm. He's been on the other side (the sane side) of this argument with slinlsin.

Is he still injured somehow? I mean he doesn't even play more than 15mins a game. In fact for the past 3 games, he only played like 10-12mins. I think Suns had a high hope for Lopez this year since Amare left.

I checked the scouting report and it said Lopez's SKILLS are injured. ;)

Our best line-up last night was Nash, Carter, Dudley, Frye, and Gortat. Our starting line-up gong forward should be the same, sans Dudley for Hill. Gortat, Frye, and Hill are our leading rebounders, and Gentry has absolutely no excuse for continuing to start Lopez over Gortat.

I'd be awfully tempted to just give up on Lopez completely. However, looking at this roster, if we can't develop Robin into a pretty fair center it just makes our future that much bleaker. He still shows flashes of value, especially on defense but I don't know if anyone can overcome that streak of stupidity that seems to run through him. Unless we can trade him for someone with fewer blemishes, I think Gentry and company have to keep working with him and playing time is a part of that.

Dudley was an absolute beast going for rebounds. How Robin freaking Lopez can't do that is a complete mystery. He doesn't bring anything to the game AT ALL.

THis. If there is a lockout next year we lose another year of any type of development with Lopez as well. It might be better to cut ties with him now than after.

I know this will sound crazy and I will be mocked, laughed at etc...
I had a homie in Hawaii, biggest most uncoordinated goof you ever saw, but he is really cool.
Anyways, he sucked at hackey sack, often falling while playing, he was built very similar to Lopez. Homie had a ton of money and fell in love this hippie yoga mama that always hung out at the beach to get customers.
Long story short, he has his own yoga studio now, and can play hackey sack better than me (that is impressive). Homie also plays B-ball now too, he attributes all of his new found balance to friggin yoga.
Lopez needs balance in the same way, he looks like a ******** drunken gimp out there. Stand tall, go hard, quit being so "iffy" with all your motions. Go do yoga!:p

From my viewpoint, I haven't looked at the stats, but Gortat looks like a much superior rebounder to Lopez, which I know isn't saying much. I also think he's a better defender than Lopez. I'd like to see the Suns keep Gortat.
