If Ben Wallace can hold his own against Shaq the Pistons have a small chance. Malone will be in trouble against Rasheed anyway if Rasheed doesn't have to double on Shaq.

Could still be a lot of blowouts because the Pistons might have trouble guarding Kobe and scoring on the Lakers.

Yes, and if my aunt had a dick, she'd be my uncle.

Obviously, I'm not impartial, but I don't see how Detroit can score enough points to beat the Lakers more than once or twice, much less beat them four times.

I think Detroit will have to score in the 90's to win and I don't see that happening.

Unless the Lakers don't score more than 70.

We will see how good Detroit's D really is.

I'm actually intrested in this matchup. (not because of the lakers, but because of the Pistons)

It will be a tough row to hoe for Detroit. L.A. has averaged 90.0 ppg so far in these playoffs.

I just don't think the Pistons will be able to score enough points to pull the upset. Not to mention that the Lakers also have the homecourt advantage.

It's hilarious that I grew-up as a "die-hard" Pistons fan back in Detroit and would have been elated that they've reached the Finals, but now I don't care whatsoever......

I have to ask...

Who picked Pistons in 4?

BTW I picked the Lakers in 6 because I think they will stuggle against the Pistons defense early in the series but will adjust later in the series

I'll keep my prediction from the "Early Playoff Prediction Thread" and say LA in 5. I don't think Detroit has a chance.

Actually, there were a few people on this board that predicted an LA/Det series, weren't there.

Several. Unfortunately, I wasn't one of them. I had the Lakers, but I guessed that the Pacers would be ready. Oh well. :(

Not necessarily.

Shaq is only averaging 20.5ppg and 45.5%FG against the Pistons. But 6.5apg.

Their season series is tied at 1. Kobe, Shaq, Payton and Malone played all games.

Surprisingly Utah held Shaq to 15.3ppg 44.4%FG in 3 games.

What do all of these statistics have to do with Eric's aunt's penis? :)

I just picked Los Angeles in 5, but I would be elated if Detroit won the championship. It would save me $50. Even though I picked the Lakers in 5 I do believe the Pistons have a chance if the Wallace's are healthy enough. They have the size and depth to bother the Lakers.

If Shaq decides to play hard, the Lakers win. Obviously the Pistons will do what they can to deny him the ball, so if will depend on his willingness to move around and get in postion to get the ball and score.

IMHO, the simple truth is that the Pistons don't win if the Lakers play well. The Pistons have to play at the top of their game to have a chance, but the Lakers have to play badly as well.

Would like to see Pistons win, but I think it will be the Lakers.

I guess it would be cool to see someone beat the Lakers but the bottom line is, if it isn't the Suns then what difference does it make who wins?
