Does anybody know what the betting odds were last Sunday afternoon for the Pistons to win the finals?

So who was the smart ONE PERSON to pick Pistons in 5?

Not me... I picked the Pistons in six. I probably would have played it safe and picked them in seven but I felt if the Lakers could play them close enough to get to seven games they'd most likely win. I don't mind at all getting it wrong, though!

I just noticed that there was a major shift to Detroit late in the voting... I think I voted Jun 2 and then the overall voting was heavily in favor of the Lakers. In fact, I recall there was 1 vote for D in 4, 0 in 5, 2 in 6 and around 4 in 7 while the votes for LA were about the same as now. Was the voting closed before the series started?

no

the voting is STILL open... I had to be honest and retroactively pick Lakers in 6. I had NO IDEA how fast and long the Pistons were. Think about it - if not for a fluke great game by Luke Walton, it woulda been Pistons in FOUR. Very next game, Coach Brown adjusted and you never heard from Walton the Younger again. Brown is now forever "Coach", and Phil Jackson will end being known as "Phillip"
