Linebacker LaMarr Woodley predicts the New England Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals will "lay down" for their virtually meaningless games on Sunday because they don't want the Super Bowl champion Steelers in the playoffs.

The Steelers (8-7), losers of five of seven, would make it in if they beat Miami, the Patriots defeat Houston, and the Bengals beat the New York Jets.

espn

Nice try to get them so riled up they BOTH want to go all out and defy Woodley's claims.

Hey Lamar, maybe your team should have played well enough to win one of those 5 losses...Seriously, the Raiders?

Don't forget the Chiefs & Browns too.

Nobody is responsible for the Steelers missing the playoffs (and they WILL miss the playoffs) but themselves.

Not fond of quoting Colin Cowherd, but he's on the money with this one:

If you need someone else to lose to get into the playoffs, that's a 'you' problem. You should have won more games earlier in the season.

The Stealers are such freaking losers!!! Quit crying & win your game this week & quit losing to 3 of the worst teams in the league in the Raiders, Chiefs & Browns. I hope Miami kicks that ass so they can walk all the way back to the Steel city with their heads between their legs.

I'm quite sure if the Pats needed a win from the Stealers to get them in that Pittsburgh would be going all out to help Tom Brady & Co get into the postseason.

Raiders, Chiefs, Brown. Enjoy the offseason, if you can't beat three teams with a combined 12 wins you probably don't belong in the playoffs.

I don't care what he says..... where he's from..... or what actually happens.

I would LOVE to have that guy on our team.

That is all.

This was awesome BTW: "Once we get into the playoffs, the Pittsburgh Steelers is a playoff team."

Heck, had they just split with us...he wouldn't have to be crying now.

It's called 6-0 in the division, LaMarr...that means 2 against you!

Didn't "unleash Hell in December" early enough, eh?

Sit home and watch...along with your yellow dishrag-waving fans.

true, if there is any team that fears the steelers it is not those 2. maybe lamarr should have done his research prior to speaking. the patriots have owned the steelers in the postseason and the bengals have embarrassed them twice this year. if anything i would think the bengals would relish the opportunity to beat pitt in the playoffs.

If Houston OR the Jets win, are the Steelers out?
