If they get those two to go with Hill and Natayazhko they will have done a marvelous job in only 3 short weeks. According to Scout.com Kevin Parrom was granted his release and is looking around and has U of A on his list.

BTW, looking at 2010 anyone know anything new on Josh Smith? I wonder if he is looking at U of A again now with Miller on board.

everything you read says Smith is wide open. Earlier there were reports UCLA was leading but he's since denied it. Duke and UNC are involved, pretty much everyone that isn't involved is trying to get involved. There's some rumor that he and Tony Wroten don't get along so I wouldn't expect anybody to get both of them, just one.

on Jones if you saw the game against Findlay Prep that ESPN televised he's really a 2 in a PG's body, very much a shoot first player. I suspect he's a bit overrated because he played at Oak Hill this year. he's also verballed and then reneged twice already, once Va Tech, once Louisville. So you can see he's being recruited by good schools but he seems to have some issues. If Wise stays he'll definitely keep Jones behind him, and it would be tough to play them together because of their size. But if Wise were to leave I think jones could realistically start for UA.

USC thought they had him but when he didn't commit after the Jordan game that sort of indicated he's still open.

Whoops wrote too soon, LA Times is reporting Jones to USC is a done deal.

Don't be surprised if Gary Franklin now reopens his recruitment for the following season.
