To me, Wallace being there is irrelevant. A win is a win--and this wasn't one of those wins that everyone says we don't deserve. We played for this win and came out on top. I thought that even though there were mistakes, we earned this win.

You are right. A win is a win, and I thought especially offensively sons played very well. However if the past it was the height advantage Portland had in the frontcourt and gave the Suns the most trouble. Zach Randolph is a good player with a lot of problems, but Rasheed Wallace is still Portland's best player.

Hopefully they will come out strong again against Golden State tonight.

Probably true, but the margin of difference between him and Randolph is fairly small.

The Suns won it rather than just the Blazers loing it. If the Suns always played with that kind of energy, they would be a lot further along than their record.

The only question is how much further along. If there were any doubts as to how important Amare is, the Blazer game dispelled them. Many things would have been different if Amare had not been injured, but where does that leave the team going forward? Was the game a sign of things to come, or just an indication of the problems the Blazers are having?

I would like to think it is the former, but without Wallace playing I can't be sure. In any case, if JJ played that way every night, the pressure to find a stud SG would be reduced greatly.

If JJ played like that every night we wouldn't be asking ourselves where all of that extra salary cap is going to be spent.

All of the young guys need to improve defensively. The trailblazers missed A LOT of open shots and even more layups.

I though the Suns played much better defense than previously, but you are right, they cannot shut down a hot team. Still too many missed assignments.
